"Starpaw! Starpaw!" Bella had been welcomed into the clan! Her clan name was Starpaw. "If she ever becomes leader, her name will be Starstar!" Joked Jaywillow next to her. Amberblaze elbowed her. "It's not funny," She meowed. "Why did you bring Starpaw here in the first place?" Asked Jaywillow. "We need more young cats to train," Amberblaze answered. "True, but training a Kittypet? That'll be impossible!" Jaywillow snickered. "No, it'll be possible, she even got Ratfur as a mentor! He's the most up-going cat in the clan! He can train anyone!" Amberblaze told Jaywillow. It's clear Jaywillow doesn't like Kittypets. She'll have to learn to like this one, at least.

Amberblaze was on a border patrol. Starpaw went out in the training hollow with Ratfur. I hope she does well! Yellowberry, Snowstorm, Foxtail, and Flamestripe were with her. "I went on the border patrol yesterday and the day before that...." Foxtail was grumbling. "Well, maybe Duskstar decided you need some exercise." Yellowberry reasoned with him. "It seems you've been in the warrior's den for moons!" Snowstorm and Flamestripe agreed. Even Amberblaze joined in. "What do you guys think of Starpaw?" Flarestripe asked. Snowstorm shrugged. "She's okay, I guess." Foxtail laughed. "What was Duskstar thinking when he brought a Kittypet into BlueClan? What a mouse-brain!" Yellowberry swiped her yellow tabby tail over his mouth. "For StarClan's sake stop!" She scolded. "You're talking about our leader!" Flarestripe and Amberblaze nodded. "She's right," Flarestripe meowed. "Yeah," Amberblaze agreed.

When the three cats got back from the patrol, Yellowberry said, "Well, that was peaceful. No RedClan to bother us." Amberblaze nodded. "I'm going to pick out something from the fresh-kill pile," She meowed.

Amberblaze was eating the mouse she picked out of the fresh-kill pile. Starpaw walked up to her. "Hello, how's your training going?" Amberblaze asked. "Good," Starpaw responded. "Do you want to share this squirrel with me?" Amberblaze offered. "I can't eat it all by myself." Starpaw nodded. "Sure," She meowed. "Have you ever had fresh-kill before?" Amberblaze asked. "Yes, when I was a lost Kittypet, I learned how to hunt." Starpaw responded. "Cool," Amberblaze meowed.
