Character Interviews of Jake, Clara and Alec from The Guy Next Door and the protagonists of its spin off Just Ask Juliet, Will and Rebecca.

Interviewer: So let's begi-

Rebecca: Get off my spot *glares at Will who is currently lounging on Rebecca's spot right at the centre* That's my seat Goldilocks, move your butt.

Will: *continues sitting*

Rebecca: Why you annoying-

Interviewer: Can we all please sit down? The interview needs to start right about now.

Rebecca: Yeah well, that's kind of hard to do when someone else's sitting on your seat. Plus you're one seat short and I am not sitting on the ground.

Jake: You can always sit on his lap, we all know that you want to.

Rebecca:*blushes and shows Jake the middle finger* No I don-

Will:*grabs Rebecca and pulls her on his lap*

Rebecca: *struggles* Hey! Hey let go of me.

Will:*raises an eyebrow* Do you want to sit on the ground?

Rebecca:*grumbles* Not really and this rather comfortabl- I mean no. No. I'm siting only because I have to.

Jake: Or you can sit in Clara's spot, I'm sure Clara won't mind siting on my lap.

Clara: No freaking way, I mind, I totally mind.

Jake: *smirks* Well that's not what you were saying, actually moan-

Clara: *slams hand on his mouth and awkwardly laughs as she turns towards the interviewer* Ignore him, he's high on his ego so he doesn't know what he's saying.

Interviewer: Oooookay! *turns microphone towards Clara* So you're Clara Wilson from The Guy Next Door.

Clara: Yup, that book is about my very messed up life.

Interviewer: From what I hear it's about two boys, Jake-

Rebecca: Ooh lemme! Lemme! *excitedly raises hand and jumps nearly falling off but Will steadies her* So it's basically one of those typical bad boy good girl stories on Wattpad with a love triangle and all that jazz.

Clara: Yeah he couldn't be here but Alec-

Rebecca: Please don't talk about the nincompoop.

Jake: I agree with her.

Rebecca: *turns to interviewer*But seriously. Jake and Clara are literally the cutest couple ever! Totally OTP material and I have the merchandise to prove it. *takes out a cap with JARA written on it* I've been on team Jake from the very beginning.

Jake: *high fives Rebecca* Me too! Do you have more of those? *starts actively bitching about Alec with Rebecca*

Clara: *sighs and turns to interviewer* I suggest you ask the question because these two are so immature that once they start they will never stop.

Interviewer: So since all of you are huge Harry Potter fans the question is that if you were in Hogwarts, what house would you be in?

Jake: *hears Harry Potter being discussed so quickly answers* I'd probably be in Gryffindor.

Clara: *laughs* I agree. He's got the entire reckless bravery thing going on. It's irritating how stupid he can get sometimes.

Jake: Oh please we both know that you find that absolutely adorable. Besides you're even worse in that department than I am. And if I'm not wrong you'd told me that you'd taken a sorting quiz and you had gotten Gryffindor.

Clara: Yeah I took it twice with Rebecca on Pottermore and both times I got Gryffindor. Frankly speaking I was surprised, I thought I'd definitely get Ravenclaw. Scratch that ,I wanted Ravenclaw.

Jake: *pouts slightly* But I'm in Gryffindor. Why on Earth would anybody not want to be in the same house as me?

Clara: *laughing* Well isn't your ego too big?

Jake: *smiles cheekily* Well then it's directly proportional to something else that's very big*winks*

Clara: *totally flustered so she tries to change the topic* Ravenclaw! We were talking about Ravenclaw!

Rebecca: *turns to Jake and gives her hotel room key which she shares with Clara* I shall make myself scarce tonight.

Clara: *hisses snatching back the hotel key* Rebecca! Stop encouraging him.

Rebecca: What? Let's all be adults here and admit that the both of you can barely keep your hands of each other. So get a room and just ban-

Clara: *totally embarrassed* Rebecca we are currently being interviewed.

Jake: But she's not exactly wrong. I mean considering what we were doing before this interview especially-

Clara: oh my god. Kill me now.

Jake: Pfft. You love me, I mean imagine if you ended up someone like *points at Will who is currently least concerned about the interview and is reading a book with some vague French title* the ice cube over here.

Clara: *nudges Jake* That's rude.

Will *still not bothered but notices Rebecca struggling so pulls her back with one arm around her waist so she's comfortable and doesn't fall off*

Jake: Well at least he is an ice cube until Rebecc-

Rebecca: *claps her hands together and turns back to the interviewer* So speaking of Hogwarts houses, honestly being a Ravenclaw would be so damn hard. I mean what if you don't know the answer to all the weird riddles they ask? You'd be stuck outside the common room forever.

Jake: *sighs at Rebecca* Dude you can at least try to be a little subtle when changing the topic.

Rebecca: *shows middle finger*

Will: *who'd been reading a book with some vague French title turns to Rebecca totally ignoring Jake* I think you'd be rather suited to Ravenclaw.

Rebecca: *eyes wide and shocked* What? Are you actually complimenting me and calling me smart? What happened to you?

Will: It's cute that you think that Butterscotch, but anyone who knows you would know that the likelihood of you accidently guessing the correct answer to the question is far more likely than you actually being able to remember the password.

Rebecca: *narrows eyes* That's not true, I have excellent memory.

Will: *raises eyebrow* Oh really? You've never forgotten anything? Anything at all?

Rebecca: *grumbles because he's right* This is exactly why I hate Slytherin.

Clara: Didn't you also get Slytherin in your sorting?

Rebecca: *tries to shush Clara* That was once. I got Gryffindor too.

Interviewer: Since the sorting house does take your choice into account would you choose Gryffindor or Slytherin?

Rebecca: *glances at Will and then squeaks* Gryffindor! Definitely Gryffindor.

Jake: *rolls eyes* Sure. It won't matter though I'm sure you'd slither in to the Slytherin common room to meet him anyway. *looks incredibly proud of the pun*

Rebecca: *turns red* No I wouldn't! I don't want to meet him. And Will's already made this crappy pun so at least be original.

Jake: Tch. Tch. Denial, denial.

Rebecca: *turns to Clara* Please kiss him so he shuts up.

Jake: *turns to Clara*

Clara: *turns red and sputters to the interviewer in a squeaky high pitched voice* Next question please!

Interviewer: So what are you the most scared of?

Jake: Probably small spaces, I absolutely hate elevators. I won't say I'm afraid of them per say but I just don't like them.

Clara: For me it's losing the people I care most about. But I do think that's something everybody is afraid of.

Rebecca: Yeah, like I mean, I might be deathly afraid of something but if someone I care about is with me I'll still run away screaming but I'll make damn sure that to drag them with me as I run away screaming.

Will: *quietly* But what if the thing you're deathly afraid of is the person you care about?

Rebecca: *her expression falters and she holds his gaze intently* I-I- *turns to interviewer and smiles brightly* What's the next question?

Jake: For the second time today, dude at least try to be subtle.

Rebecca: *flips hair* When you're as awesome as I am subtlety is impossible.

Jake: I think it's established that a person's awesomeness and adorability is measured from a scale of zero to me. Right Clara?

*Both Jake and Rebecca look at Clara*

Clara: *looks away casually while trying to whistle*

Jake: Well obviously her choice is me. I am her favourite after all.

Rebecca: *snorts* ever heard the phrase besties before testies? There is no competition.

*Rebecca and Jake start bickering over who is more adorable*

Clara: *turns to Will who is casually snacking on popcorn while watching Jake and Rebecca throwing things at each other like four year olds* Shouldn't we do something?

Will: *offers popcorn to Clara*

Clara: *shrugs and takes some watching them* Eh what the hell?

Interviewer: *turns to Will* So tell us more about yourself,we know that Rebecca who is Clara's best friend in the book The Guy Next Door is the main character of the book Just Ask Juliet in which you're one of the main characters, right?

Will:...

Clara: Well he's Jake's cousin and also the president's son! Rebecca and his family have quite the rivalry I've heard. Also *whispers* Rebecca denies that she likes him but she totally does.

Rebecca: I heard that! I totally do not like Goldilocks. *goes back to arguing with Jake*

Interviewer: What about you? Do you like her?

Will: *munches on popcorn totally ignoring the question*

Interviewer: *turns to Will* Are you not answering because you're shy?

*Both Jake and Rebecca stop fighting, look at Will, then at each other and burst out laughing*

Rebecca: *when she finally stops laughing* Will being shy... oh my god that's hilarious. He isn't shy, he just doesn't like talking unless it's to insult somebody or if he wants something from them. Goldilocks here is kind of an ass.

Interviewer: But he talks to you. In fact he only talks to you.

Rebecca: *blushes* He's quite good with interviews but he's just grumpy because I dragged him out for this one which he thinks is a waste of time. Like I said he's kind of a stuck up ass.

Jake: Well I got dragged here for this too.

Clara: Oh please Henderson we both know you love the attention.

Jake: Why would I need anybody else's attention when I have yours?

Clara:*stutters* Uh-

Jake:*smirks* You don't have to hide the fact you like me, Car.

Clara:*blushes* I don't like you. I don't like you at all.

Rebecca:*sings* Liar Liar Victoria's secret thongs on fire. *looks dreamily* Aren't they perfect?

Interviewer: Okay now a rapid fire round to see who knows the other better. There are four questions that you have to answer about your partner, favourite colour, favourite flower, favourite food and their ideal date.

Jake: Oh that's easy. Clara's favourite colour is purple, her favourite flowers are orchids, she loves Kit-Kats and her ideal date is anywhere with me.

Clara: *rolls eyes* Well aren't you full of yourself?

Jake: Well since considering I'm dating the most beautiful girl on this side of the universe I think I have the right to be full of myself.

Clara: *clears throat and tries her very hardest not to blush* Umm yeah.. So uh Jake likes cheeseburgers, he doesn't really have a favourite flower because he thinks that they are all far too temporary, his ideal date is at home-

Jake: *winks* preferably on the bed or in the shower with no clothes on.

Clara: *turns red* And his favourite colour is greyish blue.

Interview: Greyish blue? That's odd. Why is that your favourite?

Jake: *glances at Clara who looks like a tomato at this point* No reason.

Rebecca: Ooh Clara has greyish blue eyes. His favourite colour is the colour of her eyes aww.

Interviewer: That is very cute! *turns to Reecca* So now it's your chance.

Rebecca: *laughs awkwardly* Uh I don't know the answers to any of those questions. In my defence I don't remember an entire summer of my life. But I bet Will doesn't know either.

Will: *stays silent*

Rebecca: See?

Jake: Well he is a block of ice after all.

Clara: *nudges Jake* Stop being rude and picking fights.

Jake: I'm just stating facts.

Will: *still doesn't care*

Rebecca: Well no worries there, even if Will is a block of ice, I'm da bomb so I'm amazing enough for the both of us.

Interviewer: Well I suppose that's it for today! Thank you for joining us!

Clara: Thank you for inviting us!

*Rebecca subtly slips Jake her room key and gives a wink and a thumbs up as Clara sneakily grabs Rebecca's JARA cap*

Clara: *grabs Jake hand and smiles widely at him* Let's go! I heard there was a candy shop outside selling Kit-Kats!

Jake: *smiling back as he squeezes her hand, twice* Okay Car, let's leave.

*Clara and Jake*

Rebecca: *gets up and says loudly to no one in particular* Well I'll umm be in the library, reading, alone.

*Rebecca glances at Will who has gone back to reading his book. She sighs disappointedly and leaves*

Will: *shuts his book and heads towards the door. He stops and turns around* Her favourite colour is gold, she loves Butterscotch ice cream, her ideal date is going to an amusement park and her favourite flowers... *smiles slightly* are forget me nots.

*Will closes the door behind him and starts walking towards the library*
