Hey there, Wattpadders!

I'm uber-excited to be part of another Wattpad Block Party, all thanks to the lovely, KellyAnneBlount.

To date, I've been working on several novels, but the one I wanted to share for this latest Block Party is A Drop in the Ocean.

This is my first attempt at a fantasy novel, and it stars seventeen-year-old Tania Sanchez, a surfer who dreams of:

· winning the upcoming surfing competition

· dating her surfing mentor, Caleb

· becoming a mermaid

She never thought the last dream possible, until she's rescued by (you guessed it), a mermaid! His name is Deloros, and he's got some cool powers, like mind-reading, special amulets, and other fun mermaid-type gizmos.

I try to update regularly on Saturdays, but that doesn't always happen :-p

In order for you to get to know Deloros better, I thought an interview was best.

Stefania: Hi, I'm Stefania Lopez! Ever wonder what a mermaid eats for breakfast, or how they, ya know, have babies and stuff? Now you'll find out all that and more! Here's an exclusive scoop with the mermaid, Deloros.
[to the mermaid] Hi!

Mermaid: Greetings. Also, I am a merman, not a mermaid.

Stefania: Right, of course. Where do you live?

Mermaid: Currently, off a reef near the Greciam shore, though you know it by another name, Madiera Beach.

Stefania: Nifty. So, being half-human, half-fish, what kind of food do you eat?

Mermaid: I eat seaweed, or sometimes crab.

Stefania: Crab? Huh. Guess that's straddling the line, but not technically cannibalism. Now, let's get to the good stuff...How do you go to the bathroom?

Mermaid: I have often heard humans debate on this, and it always amuses me. How does a fish expel fluids? Check on your special handheld device.

Stefania: Handheld...oh, my phone? Okay, let's see here...ohhhh. That. Is. Gross. Moving on...have you ever been in love?

Mermaid: The human infatuation method?

Stefania: Uh, if that's what you call it, yeah, that.

Mermaid: I did not think it possible, until recently.

Stefania: Oh, really? Who with?

Mermaid: This would not be the appropriate venue...

Stefania: C'mon...

Mermaid: But if you must know, there's a young friend that has entered my life. I do not know if she will stay, but I would love to know her more. Is that love?

Stefania: Does she know how you feel?

Mermaid: No...

Stefania: Sounds like infatuation to me! Thanks for all your time, and good luck being a stalker, or swim-stalker.
