Twirlingwands Presents: Sneak Peeks from New Books

Hi, everyone! I'm Nicola, alternatively known as twirlingwands on Wattpad. Welcome to my Wattpad Block Party post! Today, I will be presenting sneak peeks and an excerpt from not one, not two, but three of my future books, which will be accompanied by a few personal notes to explain the text better and let you in on some of my secrets. Please keep in mind that the general plot is there, but as these stories are still drafts, they may be subjected to minor changes. Take note that most of my characters are Korean as I am absolutely in love with not just k-pop and k-drama, but also their culture and history. So, let's get started, shall we?

BOOK ONE: Irony

Cast:
• Xuan Yi as Elodie Chen
• Cha Eunwoo as North Oh

Predicted release date: June/July 2018

Summary: In which Elodie Chen and everyone else around her basks in the irony of it all, for there is no such thing as perfection, especially when it comes to love and relationships.

Excerpt: "Thanks for all those unforgettable memories, for staying with me through all those rough times, and loving me when no one else did. I know that you definitely don't love me back any longer, but I just want you to know that when you're feeling down or you need someone to talk to, I'll always be right here, waiting with open arms."

Note: Many of you may know this book by its original title, Redamancy. It is about a dysfunctional couple who everyone adores and thinks is living a perfect life together. I decided a few months ago that the title 'Irony' would fit it much better because of the plot, and so I took the leap of faith and changed the title. I also changed Elodie's nationality from Korean to Chinese and North's from British to Korean, added a cast, etc.

BOOK TWO: Flatline

Cast:
• Kim Seokjin as Park Hyun-ki
• Chae Soo-bin as Kim Hwa-young

Summary: In which heartbroken med student Park Hyun-ki discovers a sketchy Q&A website for lonely hearts and attempts to forgive and forget with the help of sarcastic contributor Kim Hwa-young.

Predicted release date: October 2018

Note: Okay, so this book first started when I watched the music video of a song called Dope by a Korean boy group named BTS. The song and video were both really good, but what caught my eye was KIM SEOKJIN wearing a doctor's outfit. He's worldwide handsome, I love his voice and personality, and I thought he could suit the role of a med student well. Second, I watched a k-drama entitled 'Cheer Up!', and Chae Soo-bin, who acted as the main deuteragonist in that show, is the actress I chose to portray the main female character, because she has natural beauty and a cheerful personality that can also be sad at times, which is the sort of personality I need for a dynamic, round character. Lastly, when I was in eighth grade, we had to listen to this sad Chinese song called '童话/Fairytale' for our Chinese class, and it was about a guy whose girlfriend passed away, and I took inspiration from that song to construct the conflict and setting of my story. The only question is, will I write a sad ending for this book, an open-ended one, or will my two MC's finally live happily ever after?

BOOK THREE: Redamancy

Cast:
• Kim Ji-soo as Park Na-mi
• Byun Baek-hyun as Nam Se-jun

Predicted release date: 2019

Summary:

Redamancy (n.) - the act of loving in return.

In which Park Na-mi plays the role of an antagonist and yearns for her love to be returned by her best friend, Nam Se-jun.

Note: I want to start writing this book because I love fluff so much; however, I love angst as well. I only have a few things to say about this book, as it is only in its early stages of development, but I can spoil that it's going to have a sad ending as usual. *evil laughter*
