Kokone: A robot far more powerful than any other he had built, Wily designed Zero to eliminate his arch-enemy Mega Man, as well as his traitorous creation Bass. However, Zero was violent and refused to follow orders, so Wily sealed him away in a capsule, which was discovered years later by a band of Reploids. Zero destroyed them and attacked all that entered Wily's fortress until Sigma battled him alone and, after a long-fought battle, defeated him.

Junko: But during their little fight, Sigma punched the gem on Zero's head, clearing Zero's mind while corrupting Sigma's. And so the roles were reversed as Sigma became an evil maniac while Zero joined the Reploids in the battle to fight against him! And Zero definitely proved he was someone you want by your side rather than against!

Kokonoe: He can rip other robots in half by hand and has even torn through Titanium-X, which is many times stronger than Ceratanium. He can rip off Sigma's arm with ease, lift large stone pillars, and has proven to be much stronger than the original Megaman and Protoman, who can both lift up a 943,400-ton fortress. He's also comparable to Megaman X, both of whom crippled the Replaforce General, who stopped a planet-busting laser while greatly weakened.

Junko: He's dodged lasers, gunfire, missiles, and point-blank explosions! Hell, he's survived an explosion from a missile powerful enough to wipe out a whole city! And he's survived many more explosions than that, including the Eurasia explosion. Y'know, that colony that wiped out nearly all life on Earth and rendered it nearly uninhabitable? At the time, was exhausted from battling Mavericks for 16 hours straight! He's been slashed at, smashed through walls, and even endured attacks from the star-busting Lumine!

Kokonoe: Right. Zero is definitely a strong one.

Ann: Outwardly, Zero is a somewhat cold individual and a ruthless Maverick Hunter. He constantly keeps his cool, even in times of crisis. He is also very straightforward and down-to-earth, often sarcastically snapping back at the unpleasantries of Mavericks and destroying them without entertaining their philosophies or taunts.

Junko: But don't let that cold personality fool you. Deep down he does have a distaste for the deaths of the innocent. This especially came up when it came to the death of Iris. Ouch... that lead to some pretty bad voice acting though.

Kokonoe: Still, before we talk about his weapons and arsenal, we must first talk about his cybernetic body.

Kokonoe: He has an interior skeleton that reduces 93 percent of damage, whether that be from physical attacks or projectiles. His body skin is made from a Titanium-Z alloy and he has a Broad-Range Eye Camera that can see and perceive at a far higher "framerate" than that of the human eye. He also has an Ultra-Sensitive Voice Recognition System that lets him hear a far broader spectrum of sounds than the normal human ear can. Aside from other basic features, he also has an Emergency Acceleration System that gives him a Dash ability and a Full Auto Balancer that allows Zero to land cleanly in any area, from any kind of state.

Junko: He also has a learning system very similar to X and his Variable Weapon System. But unlike X, Zero rarely copies the attacks of his opponents but instead creates new attacks based on his opponent's affinities. For example, defeating Web Spider allowed Zero to develop the Raijingeki, a powerful stab with the Z-Saber that's charged with electricity. Since these tend to be sword techniques inherent to Zero rather than copied weapons, the majority of them don't require additional Weapon Energy and thus can be used as often as Zero likes.

Ann: This allows for a ton of different techniques.

Junko: He can attack with fire, water, ice, or electricity. Hell, if he wanted to he can surround himself with a tornado. He can summon three dragon-like robots, a holographic clone, or even entire beams of light down on his foes. 

Kokonoe: In addition, he has Cyber-Elves.

Kokonoe: Cyber Elves are sentient computer programs made of pure energy. They can completely recharge Zero's Energy, boost his physical capabilities, absorb oncoming projectiles, stun enemies, stop or slow time to a crawl, halve the target's effective combat endurance and durability, and much more.

Ann: But he also has his own weapons too. His signature blade being his Z-Saber.

Ann: Thinking about it, we probably should have started with this one. Well, he actually has two of these but prefers not to duel-wield. As stated before, he can use this blade for elemental attacks, change its form, or even change its size. Oh right, and he can fire slash projectiles. So he doesn't really need a Zero Buster but he has one anyway.

Kokonoe: An arm-cannon weapon built by Dr. Wily for Zero. It was enhanced by the X-Hunters after they have recovered Zero's parts. Much like the Mega Buster and the X Buster, the Zero Buster can be charged to any degree. It can be loaded into the Buster Shot as a power cell and can be enhanced with copied techniques from destroyed Mavericks and Reploids, along with new attacks depending on what form.

Ann: Aside from that, he has a naginata, a pair of kunai, fans that deflect projectiles, a hammer that smashes through barriers, a pair of brass knuckles that let him do a bunch of Street Fighter moves, and a massive sword that used to belong to Sigma.

Junko: Oh right, and just like Shadow's motorcycle that we forgot to mention, Zero has a bike of his own called the Ride Chaser!

Junko: Yeah, really can't believe I forgot to mention this. But yeah, this thing can fly, shoot projectiles, and has a lethal dash.

Ann: Right. Aside from that, he has a bunch of transformations at his disposal as well. One of which being Black Zero.

Junko: Sorry Frieza, looks like Zero did it first.

Kokonoe: Also known as Nightmare Zero, this was an upgrade created by Dr.Light. It changes his color scheme from red to black and gives him a 100% increase in power and a 50% increase in speed. It doubles his defense, provides his weapons with energy over time, and gives him additional techniques along with it. Like the Shock Buffer, Shot Eraser, Virus Buster, and Z-Saber Plus.

Junko: But even this can be upgraded to the badass-looking Absolute Zero!

Junko: In this form, he grows even more powerful than before! He doesn't need his sword anymore since now he has claws! He can also fly and break through enemy defenses with little to no effort! He can use techniques like Crimson Red, Killer Left, and Brutal Right. He also has an Action Trigger called Calamitous Arts, in which Zero gives the enemy a barrage of blows in several ways before landing a critical hit!

Ann: But none of this makes Zero unstoppable.

Ann: He can be cocky and hotheaded at times, willing to sacrifice his life if he wants to achieve the results he wants. He's also not very strategic despite still being levelheaded. His armors have drawbacks and long-term fighting underground will slowly weaken him due to him being powered by solar energy.

Junko: Yeah so there's a limit to Zero's power and how much he can take. But he's a badass nonetheless and he will do whatever it takes to bring peace to his robotic world. 

Zero: I never cared about justice, and I don't recall ever calling myself a hero... I have always only fought for the people I believe in. I won't hesitate... If an enemy appears in front of me, I will destroy it!
