Kokonoe: Born to an aristocratic, English family, Isabella "Ivy" Valentine spent her early years in quite a loving environment.

Kokonoe: Oh, but don't worry, this didn't cause her to resent her family or anything. Instead, she vowed to destroy what ruined the life of her family, the Soul Edge.

Junko: And thous she begins to learn Alchemy and Dark Magic, which let's her make magic circles, bind her opponents in place, and infuse her attacks with fire and electricity for additional damage. She can do the same with energy for a limited period of time with Soul Charge.

Kokonoe: But Ivy knew this wouldn't be enough. She needed something more... a living blade...

Junko: And after several uses of dark magic, she finally made a sword with a mind of its own! The Valentine!

Junko: Formerly called the Ivy Blade, this weapon can take on the form of both a sword and whip! And it's probably the most perverted sword I've seen!

Kokonoe: What?

Junko: I mean, she literally made herself half naked just to have better communication with the darn thing. I mean, I'm not complaining though.

Kokonoe: Anyway, this sword also has a fully segmented form, which allows her to attack with each part of her sword.

Junko: And since her blade has a mind of it's own, it will protect Ivy if put in a serious crisis.

Kokonoe: Ivy also has a lot of attacks she can use.

Kokonoe: Her fighting style is Unrelated Link, which is based on the usage of alchemy and dark magic. She can seamlessly transition from close to long-range attacks by making use of her Valentine Sword.

Junko: Also it's clearly inspired by BDSM. There's plenty of whip attacks that bound the enemy and her physical attacks are mainly kicks and stomps.

Kokonoe: Seriously Junko, get your head out the gutter. Anyway, one of Ivy's many attacks is called Acausal Paradox.

Kokonoe: Where she grabs her opponent and, as her sword shatters, parts of it stick to the opponent's body, making them levitate and fly. While in the air, the sword pieces slash her opponent several times until the shards slam her opponent to the ground.

Junko: She also has Guilty Throne!

Junko: This is when Ivy expands her sword and launches her opponent into the air. She impales them mid-air, then slams them down to the ground while stomping on their head!

Kokonoe: And after that finally comes her Critical Finish, Grand Alchemy.

Kokonoe: Where she whips the opponent and starts an alchemist spell to trap the opponent in a ball. She then splits the blade up into small pieces and shoots them into the opponent.

Junko: Yeah, so Ivy had all the skills she needed to take on Soul Edge. It's too bad all her work was kinda for nothing.

Kokonoe: Right, it turns out the real reason Ivy's blade has a mind of it's own is because the infamous Nightmare had already put a piece of Soul Edge inside of it, which is why it can take the souls of others.

Junko: Not only that, but she learned her real old man was Cervantes! An infamous pirate who also once wielded Soul Edge!

Kokonoe: Still, Ivy is incredibly strong. She's fought Cervantes multiple times. Cervantes is able to take on heavy hitters like Taki and Xianghua, who was able to deliver enough force to part clouds.

Junko: Yeah, and Ivy should be comparable as she's not only fought and beat Taki, but also took down Siegfried, who is stronger than Nightmare himself! Oh, it should be noted her durability is high enough to let her go without a soul for days on in!

Kokonoe: Still, Ivy does have weaknesses.

Kokonoe: Aside from the fact that she wears little to no armor, her cursed blood makes her weak to any sort of holy weapon.

Junko: Yeah, if she does touch one, her body will turn to gmass and kill her. But still, with everything she has at her disposal, it's safe to say that she's more than just big boobs and good looks!

Ivy: Call me a monster or a demon if you must. I'll be happy to be called those names if it is the price I must pay to eliminate the existence of the evil blade!
