A Decision Made

I stared at the two boys in front of me, looking this way and that.

Which one should I choose? How should I choose? Why aren't I'm a hunter's dead squirrels smelling yet?

"Loseria, you see... I have loved you since I had first lain eyes upon you," I'm a hunter sighed dreamily. He stood in front of my, grabbing my two hands gently. Just like in the movies.

Flapjack gasped. "But... I saw her first!"

"Well, she likes me," I'm a hunter shouted enraged. The two circle each other, then as if they silently had communicated upon eachother somehow, they lunged forwards.

Both started slapping at each other, eyes closed, not moving from at all from their designated spots. Their heads were turned away, to protect their faces from getting slapped.

"She likes me," Flapjack screeched.

"No, she likes me. You're too controlling!"

"Hey, no I am not! Controlling isn't in my name!"

I knew I had to intervene despite all of the novels and movies I had watched on teen boys fighting and girls intervening. It wasn't always a wise decision, especially because every girl managed getting hurt.

The boys started to move around now.  I'm a hunter blew a raspberry at Flapjack then took off singing, "You can't catch me-ee ba, doo, da dum. Can't catch me Do. Dah. Dah!" In the theme of the hit song "Baby shark".

"Oh yeah I can," Flapjack insisted, turning over a gun case to find a shiny red high heel shoe underneath.
He hummed it at I'm a hunter, causing him to loose his grounding and fall.

Wait! Rednecks don't wear or keep expensive high heels! Why does he have those?

"I'm a dyin'! I'm a dyin'! You gotta man down," I'm a hunter gasped dramatically.

Flapjack smirked at his fallen opponent then turned to me.
"Loseria," he whispered.
"Yeah, Flapjack." I blinked stepping closer.

We closed the gap between us, now  was his turn to grab my hands in the movie like way.

"Look forget all of those mean, horrible, and revolting comments I had made towards you, because now.. I realized I shouldn't be mean to the ones I love. Only to the ones I don't love." We both automatically glanced over at I'm a hunter who was still flopping around like a caught catfish.

"So can you forget all those mean things I had said about you? About us not being together?"

Should I choose him? He was the guy who had appeared in the first chapter so why not!

"Done! I had already forgotten about it when you bursted through his front door on your motorcycle!"

He smiled then hopped onto his bike, revving it loudly.

"What about me?" I'm a hunter shouted standing up and spreading his arm out on a sign if defeat.

"What about you," Flapjack asked annoyance clearly heard in his tone.

"Will I be able to reappear in this book ever again? I did save her life."
He crossed his arms and gave us both a look like we were being unfair.

"You can be our best man," I shrugged.

"Awesome," he squealed, hugging his gun. "Me and Betsy will be there."

At first I had thought Betsy was a new girl that was randomly created to add more names to the story, but then it had dawned on me that "Betsy" was his double barreled shotgun.

"Yeah.. can't wait to see you there." I smiled.

Flapjack groaned, "Come on we have to get you back home so you can tell your parents all about me."

I nodded, hoping onto the bike. We drove away. The only sound in the background was the loud banging noise of a gun going off. I'm a hunter must had spotted another squirrel... or he had finally realized we were on his property.

Either way I was happy.

We arrived at my home not too long after. It turns out my parents have some sense of forgetfulness, because the whole "me running away" thing seemed to had miraculously slipped their minds.

"Hey, Loseria," Dad greeted casually. Mom and him were working in the front garden, picking weeds out of our flower garden. We are so poor we have to live off a garden... of expensive, exotic flowers.

I suddenly realized Flapjack was at my house! Redness of embarrassment creeped through my cheeks, signaling that I was blushing. What was he going to say of our poverty-stricken five stories high mansion? His eyes skimmed over the well manicured lawn, then landed on my Lamborghini.

Oh no! He sees my ugly car!!

"Hmm seen better," he whispers, hopping off his bike bad-boy style.

I hopped off as well to be engulfed in a hug by my mother. "You finally have a boyfriend! I am so happy," she squealed. She seemed to had not at all cared about the fact that I had been missing for over a week or that I had shown up with a strange, mystery bad-boy.

"I'm glad you like him, even though you haven't met him." I smiled gleefully.

Dad hobbled over. His facial features twisted into a scowl.

"Who is this boy dating my daughter?"

"I'm a bad-boy," Flapjack said smoothly, popping on a pair of dark shades.

"Oh okay then. I feel much better now. You two have fun on your date tonight!" Dad waved then returned to the garden, as did Mom.

"Shall we," Flapjack asked, now getting on his bike again.

"Yes, we shall!"

I straddled the bike behind him, then we were off. My long blonde hair waved effortlessly in the wind, occasionally slapping me in the face.

Now I was happy. I had a bad-boy as a boyfriend, which now made me the most popular girl in school. My parents were now more supporting and loving than ever. My teacher no longer treated me harshly. I felt more confident with myself, my looks, and my additude.

Even though I never once changed at all or did anything to feel more confident.

Anywho - my life was now the dream life any girl my age would have wanted. All because I met the bad boy.
