"No matter who you are or what you have been through, you will never go through war and come back the same. Some can make peace with war's horrors and live a normal and peaceful life. Others will always be plagued by the faces of the dead and the broken. But every man will come back changed, whether it be a little, or completely."

Forever Fall
Remnant

In the forest of Forever Fall, two men are running with a device in one's hand.

One of these men is Richard Climmons.

A US Marine who fought in Iraqi Freedom and somehow found himself on an entirely different world.

Watching his back was Arthur Morrigan.

(A.N. Pretend the wall is a tree)

A Vietnam veteran who also found himself stuck on Remnant.

The two of them hopped over a fallen tree and took cover behind it.

"Please tell me we lost those damn beowulves." Richard panted.

Arthur quickly peeked over the fallen tree and scanned the surroundings. He didn't see anything.

"I think we're clear." He said as he slowly stood up.

Richard also cautiously stood up. As Arthur kept his M60 Machine Gun trained on the tree line, Richard looked back to the device in his hand. The screen showed a small pulsating blip to the northwest.

"Getting anything off of that?" Arthur asked.

"Whatever it is Ozpin wants us to find is about 6 klicks northwest." Richard said.

"Right then. Let's move." Arthur said.

Just as they turned around, two large monkey-like Grimm dropped down from the trees and roared at them. The two veterans stumbled onto their backs in surprise and dropped their weapons. They reached for their guns, but as soon as they had said firearms aimed at the Grimm, someone else lit them up like a Christmas tree.

As the bodies of the Grimm disintegrated, Richard looked to Arthur with an annoyed look.

"'I think we're clear'?" Richard quoted.

"I didn't see 'em in the damn trees, alright?" Arthur replied.

"You fought in Vietnam! 'They're in the fucking trees' is your thing! You people came up with the phrase!" Richard continued.

Arthur then looked at Richard with equal annoyance and a raised eyebrow. And Richard realized what the look was for.

"I probably could have worded that a bit better." Richard said, his annoyance replaced with embarrassment.

"Probably." Arthur replied.

"The bloody hell is going on here? We have a job to do, and you yanks are gossiping like a bunch of the rich kids back at Beacon!"

The two Marines looked and saw that their saviors were their two other teammates.

A British WW1 Soldier named John Winston Fish.

(A.N. This is an image of his uniform, not his face. And for those of you familiar with my Team WAAR series, yes, I changed John's appearance a bit too be more accurate.)

And a WW2 American Soldier named Alex Rube.

(A.N. Again, not his face, his Uniform)

"We leave you mooks for five minutes, and you decide to sit your asses down in the middle of a mission." Alex said.

Richard responded by giving him a middle finger.

"Do we at least know how much farther?" John asked.

"6 klicks northwest." Arthur replied.

"Let's move, then." John said.

The veterans then proceeded to walk in the direction the device was leading them. They didn't encounter any Grimm, which they found somewhat odd. They had been told that the forest had recently become a hotspot of Grimm activity over the last month. Yet there wasn't another Grimm in sight for the rest of the journey.

After walking the aforementioned distance, the four veterans came across the ruins.

"The ruins from the initiation?" Arthur said, puzzled by where they ended up.

"Huh... you know, you'd think ol' Ozzy would've mentioned that this was where this as all happening." Alex said.

"To be fair, he did say that they were unable to get an exact location. I don't think he knew that it was coming from the ruins." John said.

"Still, best we keep investigating. I'd like to find whatever it is Oz has us looking for and get the hell back to Beacon." Richard said.

"Agreed." Arthur commented.

The four veterans then headed towards the ruins to complete their mission.

Meanwhile, in another version of Remnant...

The noise of birds chirping was heard throughout most of the Emerald forest near Beacon academy. The sound of wind was also heard throughout many of the trees and bushes as well as several small animals wandering around. But as the natural noise was suddenly broken by another noise off in the distance as the scene then scrolled over to a dirt road.

As a small bunny rabbit came up to the edge of the dirt road sniffing the dirt road a little bit before the other noise from earlier became more clear as it was a type of engine noise. Suddenly the little bunny then ran away from the dirt road as four cars then sped down the road in the direction of the academy.

The scene then scrolls back a little bit to get a better view of the cars in question that were speeding towards the academy in the distance.

(2018 Dodge Challenger Hellcat)

(1968 Dodge Charger R/T)

(1970 Plymouth Roadrunner)

(2019 Dodge Demon)

The red hellcat led the other three muscle cars down the dirt road on their way back to the academy. On the back window of the hellcat there was a small sticker that had the letters USMC in red with a logo of an eagle sitting on top of the world with a boat anchor in the background of the world.

Time skip to the school grounds...

The day started as normal for most of the students at Beacon Academy with most of them getting up and dressed for their classes of the day. But as most student finished up eating their breakfast and walking to their classes but, their quite morning was interrupted when the noise of roaring engines was heard in the distance. Many students then saw the four cars approaching the school grounds and most of them knew who the cars belonged to.

"Hey, look! Team MARN is back from their mission!" A random student exclaimed.

"Man, they've been gone for longer than I thought." Another commented.

As the four muscle cars drove down the main walkway passing all the students who stepped aside to allow the cars to pass. Soon the four cars then came up to the parking lot near the school grounds parking side by side to each other. Then in order the men behind the wheels of the cars stepped out. Out of the Hellcat stepped a young man in his early twenties wearing a WW1 US marine uniform.

This marine's name was Michael Conners and he was the lowest ranked on his team being a private.

Then out of the dodge Charger stepped out a man also in his twenties but wearing a WW2 dated US marine uniform.

The WW2 US marine's name was Alex Ambers and he was the second highest rank in the team ranking as a sergeant.

Then out of the roadrunner stepped out another US marine but this one was from the Vietnam war.

His name was Ryan Jackson and he ranked just above Michael as a corporal.
And finally out of the Dodge Demon stepped another US Marine who was the highest ranked on the team and the leader Nick Jones who fought in the gulf war.

"Well, we're finally back!" Nick exclaimed.

"Hey we had the mission in the bag right?" Ryan asked.

"If you call taking nearly a week to finally clear out a nest of Beowolves easy you're wrong." Alex replied.

"Oh come on, it wasn't that bad." Ryan said.

"There was way more than the mission intended, so it only makes sense that the mission took as long as it did." Michael reasoned.

"I sure had fun gunning them down." Ryan said with a smile.

"Of course you would, you've got the big machine gun." Alex complained with a small smirk.

"Alright enough chit chat guys, lets go to the headmaster." Nick ordered.

The four then headed towards the headmaster's office to be debriefed...
