"You okay, Gia?" My best friend Olivia asked. "As okay as I can be stuck sitting on a bench at recess thinking about earlier today while everyone else has fun," I replied. "Good point. Still, you wanna tell me what you think about it?" She pressed. "Okay. So remember how I told Mrs. Blinder that the school workers were doing unjust things?" I asked. "Yeah, I remember," Olivia answered. "They always stick their noses in our lives outside of school. What if we don't want them there? Those three times I almost got kicked out of school? I was fighting for justice," I pointed out. "That's so true! Everybody's always snooping in our lives!" Olivia agreed. "I know right? By protecting others, they end up scaring or hurting us. Sooner or later, the kids they protect are going to get really hurt when they're released into the world." I reasoned. "They think they're so smart. Still, they may be smart, but I'm much smarter." "And that's why you're my best friend," Olivia declared. "Thanks Olivia, same to you," I replied truthfully. "Ladies! Get off the field! Recess is over!" A voice called. "Oops, recess is over," Olivia said, checking her watch. "Forget about recess, I can't wait for today to be over!" I joked. "Let's go!"
