Current status and updates for all my active projects, both on and offline. For quick synopses of each of these books, check out my Wattpad info doc: it's linked in my profile bio and in the intro chapter of this book.

The Book of Miranda: Posting weekly-ish on (mostly) Mondays. I started this book for Wattpad's 2023 Open Novella Contest, only to have it lose its novella status before I even started writing. I posted it anyway to catch the hype as Red Rover wrapped up, and am now playing tag with my outline as I plot and write simultaneously. I'd say I do not recommend this state of events, but I'm enjoying myself immensely!

City of Coral: Posting weekly as per usual, albeit with breaks because I've been treading water this spring and still have no buffer. This book recently threw its own outline out the window, and I'm not actually complaining (the new trajectory is way better than the original plan), but it does take me a hot second to recalibrate after such things 😆

As the Crow Falls: Marked complete since the last time I posted here

Deepwater Blue: Started, sprinted, and marked complete since the last time I posted here

Red Rover: Marked complete since the last time I posted here

Can You Cook a Dragon (Flash Fiction Collection): On hold, but on track to be revived in the form of a Patreon...

Rocks Can Dance: Nothing to report. Still hoping to have this done by the end of 2023.

Super Secret Mystery Project™ That Will Remain A Mystery Until Launch: On pause until 2024 or demon possession, whichever comes first.

The Goddess of Love: I cannot believe I'm on the second book of my Hattu Empire Series already... it hasn't even been a year since I started writing. Book One (The Wall of Imanti) wrapped up in early February at 265k, at which point I flung myself into the second book and wrote about half a chapter before hitting the inevitable wall of needing to plan. I'm hoping to have that prep work done by November so I can use this book to take another shot at breaking the coveted 200k-in-a-month milestone I fell short of on last year's attempt. Wish me luck!

Hattu Empire Series (aka Desert Epic): Plotting on Book II is well underway. If I can finish that one this year like I'm hoping to, I'll be one year from the posting threshold I set for myself back when I started this series. Where will it be posting? Not Wattpad! After a lot of deliberation and comparing my options, I've opted to pencil this series in as a Patreon exclusive, with the intention of eventually self-publishing. More on that below ✨

Water Will Rise: Chilling in a corner with a drink and popcorn as I fight with City of Coral and The Goddess of Love over wordcount problems.

The Legend of the June Beetle: Contractual possibilities shifted priorities, so this one's now back on the shelf for the foreseeable future. Will likely arrive on Wattpad in 2024!

Okay, let's see. New house, new job, a buttload of renovations, three new WIPs, three books marked complete, three homepage features, and an abrupt pivot of my long-term writing plans... it's been A Spring(™), guys. I had to put this book on pause alongside several short posting hiatuses just to keep my head above water. That chaos is still proving slow to clear, so it's likely I'll keep a (comparatively) low profile for at least another month yet.

I do have exciting news for this book, though! Just this spring, a group of readers and I got into a fantastic discussion about the possibility of me launching a Patreon. I promptly fell down a rabbit hole on that, so... it's done? It's up, guys. I have a Patreon. Link in the comments if you're interested!

I don't have any books to post to it yet: all my Wattpad work is tied up in exclusivity for now, and none of my offline works are ready. What I do have, though, is this book. I plan to keep posting here, as it's way too much fun to talk to you all on Wattpad. I plan to start cross-posting free material like Q&As here and on Patreon, though, then throwing any longer blog posts behind my lowest paywall. Which keeps this book reserved for actual profile updates and authorial stuff, as per my original plan for it.

Higher tiers will eventually see Patreon-exclusive books that would be a poor fit for Wattpad—mostly adult Dark Fantasy like my Hattu Empire Series, or anything Sci-Fi. Shorter, faster-paced books like Red Rover will remain on Wattpad to build my platform there. All books currently posted there will also stay, unless Wattpad does something to completely lose my trust within the next five years.

So those are my updates! Onward and upward, as I slowly get back into things 🔥

How do I get anything done in this house? It is a good question, friends. It is a very good question.
