It had been several days since Uzi had learned the truth, and she had not been in the same room as her "Parents" since then. She had waited until they left to go to work, or came out at night after they went into sleep mode... and unfortunately, all that time to herself, she had time to think. She wasted no time in sending messages to the others.

Lizzy: You had better have a good reason to have woken me up at 1 in the fucking morning.

Uzi: I have a plan, and I need you all to come to the club house so I can tell you without anyone overhearing.

Lizzy: A plan? What kind of plan?

Uzi: You'll know when's you all get here.

Thad: Okay, we're on our way.

Doll just responded with a thumbs up emoji. She isn't a morning person. Uzi closed out of the chat group before staring at the ceiling of her room.

"This had better work."

Less than an hour later, they were at the club house.

"Okay, so why are we here?" Lizzy asked.

"Over the past few days, I've been looking into the stuff from before I was adopted. Nori and Yeva worked at this lab by those old camp grounds." Uzi said, holding up the necklace Nori had, "Our best bet to finding whatever Nori and my mom want is to go there."

"And how exactly do we get there?" Thad asked.

"Doll's motorcycle." Uzi said but Doll shook her head.

"Well... there's always... the school bus." Lizzy said, "But... Thad and I will be so grounded if we take it."

"But you can get it, right?" Uzi asked.

"Yeah. We can, dad has us do maintenance on it every other weekend." Thad said, scratching his head.

"More you than me but that's cuz I'm lazy." Lizzy comments with a shrug.

"Then, let's get going." Uzi said, pulling out a large duffel bag, "I got some... tools... in case we run into something bad."

"Uh... I get concerned when you say tools." Lizzy said.

"Good!" Uzi said, "Let's go!"

With some reluctance, the group headed for the school bus stables outside of the doors by the school.

"This is going to be easy." Uzi said as they arrived quickly.

"Don't jinx us, Uzi." Lizzy said as Thad put in the code for the stables.

"Just let me calm him down first. He startles easily." Thad said as he opened the door and approached the bus.

"Hey, buddy." Thad said, slowly approaching the bus, "Want to go for a ride?"

The bus revved it's engine. Thad pet it on the hood, before motioning for the others to get on. Lizzy opened the side door and let in the cousins before she got in herself. Letting Thad grab the bus's reigns and guide him outside.

"So, how far is this place?" Lizzy asked.

"About two hours." Uzis said.

Doll's visor immediately turned into Tetris.

"Good thinking, Doll." Lizzy said as she pulled out her phone, opening an old game app called "Jetpack Joyride."

A game where you're a human using various crazy and funny jet packs to escape a LONG science facility.

'I am never showing Uzi this game.' Lizzy thought before she started playing.

Uzi, meanwhile, started to think. So much had happened in less than a week and she had a lot to think about.

'I'm not entirely sure what this... patch is... but I have to find it.' She thought, 'And no one is going to stop me.'

Little did she know... someone was following them.

'You are way too much like your parents.' They thought.
