Puss had escaped through the sewers and ran into the forest. He then slows down and walks as thunder was rumbling and he looked down. After hours of walking, he looks at the address to Mama Luna's and compares it to the actual location. He sighed and began to take off his caps, hat, belt and boots as he said, "I am no longer worthy. I'm sorry." He made a dirt grave near the building as he lays his clothes inside and placed his initial above it as a gravestone. He looks down at the grave before he said, "We are gathered here today to say goodbye to Puss in Boots. There are no words to express such a loss. Thank you."

With that, he walks away for a few seconds, until he came back and continued, "But it would be a crime not to try. He was known across the land by many names. The Stabby Tabby. El Macho Gato. The Leche Whisperer. To some, an outlaw. To more, a hero. To all, a legend."

He sighed and said, "I was right. Words were not enough." He walks away again, but he came back and said, "But perhaps a song." He began to sing, "♪ Who is your favorite fearless hero? *crying* ♪ Who is your favorite ♪ Fearless hero? ♪ You were, you were. ♪." He continued to sob as he buries his clothes with dirt.

He walks to the door and hesitates to knock, but he sighs and knocks anyways. There was a creaking sound from inside until a voice calls out, "I told you health department people, there are no cats here!" Puss cleared his throat before he gets on all fours, sits down and lets out a soft "meow". He heard a lock click and the door opens, which reveals cats wearing mittens on their paws. He gasped a bit before an elderly brown lady walks out with a cat patter dress as she looks down to Puss before she said, "Oh! You're not from the health department, are you? No, you're not. We better get you inside because, baby, they are always watching."

She picks him up and brings him inside. The inside was filled with cats, scratching posts and litter boxes before Mama Luna speaks, "I am Mama Luna, and this is my home. And now it's your home, too. Your forever home." She chuckled, which made Puss gulp with nervousness. She gives him a bath and dries him off before she said, "I bet you never even had a name. But you know what, I have thought of something perfect. I shall call you..." She puts a collar on him which has a name Pickles on it.

"Pickles! Brother cats, sister kitties, meet your new roommate. Say hello, Pickles." Mama Luna announced as she placed Puss on the floor and walks away. Puss looks at the group of cats before he said, "Meow, eh?" Most of the cats got offended and hissed at him and some yowls, which made Puss confused as he ask, "What? Did I say something salty? It's my second language."

As weeks went back, Puss turns from the legend Puss in Boots to Puss the ordinary cat as he had grown a beard and eating dry cat food. Meanwhile, somewhere at night at Del Mar, the screen shows his Wanted poster held by a blonde girl. She was led by three bears: one small, one medium, and the other large as they sniff the ground for something. The small bear found a familiar scent and alerts the blonde. "You got the scent?" The girl ask before looking at three pairs of footprints. She points at the chicken prints with her staff, "These are too small." She points at the giant's footprint and said, "And these are two big."

She points her staff to the boot prints and said, "But these ones... these ones are just right." The scene shows the girl's Wanted poster, along with the bears. It turns out that they are Goldilocks and the three bears. "Baby, track that scent!" Goldi said to Baby Bear as they set out to find the owner of the boot prints.
