The sun shone hot as Ash and the others were walking through the woods. They were walking back to Lumiose City after helping Serena's mother, Grace, fix her house.

"Hey Serena, how much longer until we get there?" Ash asked, petting Pikachu's head.

"Let's see," Serena replied, checking her map. "It's a little bit away, but we might reach there by night."

"Big brother," Bonnie asked, pulling Clemont's sleeve. "Are you ready to go back to your gym?"

No reply.

"Clemont?"

Still not reply.

Ash, Serena, and Bonnie looked at Clemont. His face was scrunched up, a clear sign that we was thinking of something.

"Hey Clemont, what's wrong?" Ash asked.

"Shh," Clemont replied. "Listen."

The others stopped walking, and listened. Suddenly, Clemont was surrounded by a blue aura and lifted off the ground.

"CLEMONT!!" the others cried out in surprise.

"Help me!" Clemont begged as he was carried trough the air. 

Ash and the other followed Clemont, until he flew into the trees, and they lost track of him.

"Clemont!" Bonnie cried out, tears forming in her eyes.

"Don't worry Bonnie," Ash said, putting a hand on Bonnie's shoulder. "We'll find your brother."

"I hope so," Bonnie sniffed.

Clemont watched helplessly as his friends lost track of him, and he floated into a giant vehicle. In the vehicle, the blue aura vanished, making Clemont drop on the ground.

"Ow..." Clemont moaned, rubbing his backside. "That really hurt."

"Oh, I'm so sorry. Maybe next time I'll put a pillow down for you."

Clemont perked up at the familiar voice.

"Where are you?!?" Clemont called out, standing up. "I know who you are! Where are you hiding?!?"

"Oho, looks like you remember me."

Xeorsic walked into view, hands behind his back. His Crobat and Malamar were floating right next to him.

"It is you," Clemont said through gritted teeth. "What do you want with me?"

"I plan on reviving Team Flare," Xeorsic replied. "And I need the help of you and these little guys."

Xeorsic moved out of the way, revealing a cage full of Zygarde cells. 

"Why do you need my help?" Clemont asked, becoming more and more angry.

"We are both amazing scientists," Xeorsic told him. "You and I are very much alike. Great minds do think alike, after all."

"Don't you dare compare me to you!" Clemont yelled at him, taking a pokeball out. "We are not like each other at all!"

Clemont threw the pokeball, and Luxray came out. 

"Luxray, Thunderbolt!" Clemont ordered. 

Luxray attacked Xeorsic and his Pokemon. They all fell to the ground, paralyzed.

"Come on, Luxray," Clemont said, climbing onto Luxray. "Let's get out of here."

Luxray nodded, and jumped out of the vehicle. They then took off, running through the woods, Xeorsic, watching them go.

"Y-You're n-not g-getting a-away f-from m-me t-that e-easily, b-boy," Xeorsic growled, struggling to get up. "M-Malamar, u-use R-recover, a-and f-follow t-them."

Malamar used Recover, and flew out of the vehicle. Using it's psychic powers, it found out where Luxray and Clemont were, and flew after them.

"Luxray, look!" Clemont said, pointing upwards. "It's Ash's Talonflame!"

"Ray," Luxray nodded, and began running faster.

Talon flame cawed, and began flying away.

All three of them approached a clearing where Ash and the others were.

"Clemont!" Bonnie cried out.

"Bonnie!" Clemont said, jumping off of Luxray. "Don't worry, I'm okay!"

"I'm so relieved," Serena said, sighing.

"Pika!" The group turned to Pikachu, who's ears were perked up.

"What's wrong, buddy?" Ash asked.

"Pika!" Pikachu pointed.

They all turned to see Malamar float out of the trees, and lift Clemont up again.

"No! Put my brother down!" Bonnie yelled at Malamar angrily. "Dedenne, Nuzzle!"

Dedenne began sparking up its cheeks, when suddenly a ray of red light came out of nowhere, and hit Clemont. Clemont began screaming in pain, and he stopped when the light disappeared. Malamar than gently placed him on the ground again.

"Clemont?" Ash asked. "Are you okay?"  

"You must all bow down to Team Flare," Clemont replied, his voice sounding robotic.

"Clemont?" Serena asked.

"He is gone," Xeorsic replied, stepping next to Malamar. "Clemont. Capture them."

"Yes, sir," Clemont replied, and began walking towards Ash and the others.

"Clemont! Snap out of it!" Ash yelled, as all three of them began to back away.

"He can't," Xeorsic replied, beginning to laugh. "He is going to be under my control forever."

"No. I know my brother," Bonnie said, stopping. "He wouldn't do this." She ran up to Clemont, and hugged him. "He is a good person, and an even greater big brother. He will fight whatever you did to him!"

Clemont looked down at Bonnie and grabbed her shoulders.

"All must follow Team Flare," Clemont said,beginning to pick up Bonnie. "All must know the good Team Flare is doing."

"Bonnie!" Ash and Serena yelled in warning.

"Clemont, please," Bonnie said, looking into her brother's eyes. "Snap out of it."

Clemont stared at his sister before placing her down, and turned towards Xeorsic.

"B-But how?" Xeorsic asked in surprise. "Did I not turn the ray up all the way?"

"No, you did," Clemont replied, his voice no longer sounding robotic. "But my sister helped me snap out of it. Luxray, paralyze them!"

Luxray obeyed, and Xeorsic and Malamar fell to the ground. 

"Ash, can you call Officer Jenny?" Clemont asked.

"Of course!" Ash said. "It's nice to have you back, Clemont."

"It's all thanks to you, Bonnie," Clemont said, smiling down at his younger sister.

"I'll do anything for my big brother," Bonnie replied, smiling wide.

"C-Clemont, h-how c-could y-you r-resist t-the r-ray," Xeorsic said, turning their attention to him.

"My feelings of protecting my family and friends," Clemont replied, glaring at him. "If it wasn't for them I wouldn't be here."

"F-Friends?" Xeorsic asked. "O-of c-course."

"Thank you for helping with he clean-up from Team Flare," Officer Jenny thanked them. 

"You're welcome!" they all replied and watched as Officer Jenny sped off.

"It's getting dark, guys," Serena said. "I guess we should set up camp."

"That's a good idea," Ash nodded in agreement.

It was a while before everything was set up, and Ash and Clemont were in their tent. 

"Hey Clemont?" Ash asked, turning to his friend.

"Yeah?" Clemont replied.

"What did Xeorsic want with you?"

"Apparently, he wanted to make me a part of Team Flare. He said that 'great minds think alike.' He thought that we were the same since we are both scientists, but we are not the same."

"Why's that?"

"Because I will only use my inventions for good, not for evil."

Ash smiled, and faced the roof of the tent.

"I knew you would say that."
