"Ray, your smile has gotten a lot better... Which means..." A dark haired male with bandages had said to the younger blonde.

"Yeah... It's time. See you, Zack, I'll miss you..." The blonde says, smiling up at him. The male hesitated, biting his lip, unsure of his next action. He then lifted up his scythe.

Then the scythe had slashed the girls neck. The last thing she saw before she died was the male about to slash his own.

~

"Hey! Skye!" A young voice said, waking the blonde haired girl from her sleep.

"Huh...?" The girl groggily muttered. She rubbed her eyes and saw a little girl, her little sister to be precise, standing by her bed.

"Mom said you need to get ready for school." The little girl says.

"Yeah, I will..." Skye says, sitting up. 'I have a feeling I had a strange dream... Too bad I can't remember it...' She thought.

The girl, Skye, had closed and locked her door after her little sister ran out. She then looked in the mirror. Her blue eyes, they have the usual dullness in them. She never knows why. She is always happy... It's probably just genetics.

Skye sighed and started to undress, putting on her school uniform after. She then left her room to the kitchen. Her mother and little sister were there, sitting at the table. Her father must have left for work already, since he was a cop and is always busy.

"Just in time for breakfast Skye." Her mother says, she had long silky blonde hair and blue eyes, like Skye... But her mother's eyes were more lively. Skye was honestly a bit jealous that her mother and sister (who also had the same lively blue eyes) had looked so alive, while her eyes had some dullness. Skye pushed that thought away and smiled.

"Yeah. I am." The girl says and sits at the table, starting to eat. 'It's strange why do I feel like something is different about today...?'

She must have been lost in thought for a while because when she snapped out of it her mother had called her because it was time to head out.

"Skye! You need to head to the station so you can get to school on time!" The woman said.

"Crud..." Skye mumbles, quickly getting up from her seat, she was about to head out the door until her mother put some money in her bag.

"When you get back from school will you please stop by the store and grab some things?" Her mother asked, a pleading look in her eyes.

"Yeah, will do! See you later!" Skye says, rushing out the door.

~

She huffed and grasped her knees as she made it to the station. Skye was lucky she made it in time, although the unlucky thing was there were a bunch of people in front of her.

'This will be a while...' Skye thought and sighed.

Just like usual she had to push her way through the crowd of people just to get a seat on the vehicle.

Skye soon found an open seat and sat there. It was by the doors so it might be easier to get out before the crowd.

A male had sat next to her. He had black hair and... Black and gold eyes...? 'Interesting..' She thought.

The male must have caught her staring because he looked at her and raised a brow. "Are you alright?" He asked.

Skye jumped a bit and turned gaze away, now she was embarrassed because he knew she was looking at him. She now needed to respond without saying. "Your eyes are different colors." Or something stupid like that.

"Um, how'd you get that bandage?" She asked, looking at the single bandage resting on his cheek.

"Oh...?" He was surprised by her response and chuckled a bit. "I think it was from a cat I found in an alley..." 'You think...?' Skye thought.

"Oh... I see..." She mumbles, now awkwardly gripping the ends of her uniform's skirt and looking at the ground. "What about the one wrapped around your hand?"

"I burned it on my oven from not paying attention." He says and sighs.

"Oh..." She says. "Guess you have to be careful now a days." While talking to him Skye had made mental notes. 'Male, about twenty, black hair, not very careful, unique eyes.'

After a few more moments of talking to the male the machine came to her stop. "Well I have to go... Thanks for talking with me." Skye says and smiles. She then got up and left the vehicle for her school.

'That guy... He seems familiar... Never mind that I need to get to school.' Skye thought.

~

'That smile... And the dullness in her eyes... Why do I feel like I've seen that before...?' The male, also known as Jax, thought to himself. 'Ugh, whatever, I need to worry about getting home... Stupid damn alleyways will get crowded.'

He soon got off at his station and headed towards his apartment. It was pretty shabby, but he couldn't buy anything better.

'I have to get home quick, or else those gangs will come for me.' Jax thought. Despite his fit and broad stature, he couldn't fight well, he didn't like conflict, he couldn't hurt a fly even if he wanted to.

Jax had dashed home to his apartment, lucky enough he didn't get caught in the alleys. He sighed in relief and closed and locked the door.

"Finally... Home at last..." He huffed. "And this time without interruptions." He sighed and flopped on his couch. "I need some shut-eye." He mutters, before yawning and falling asleep.

~

A gun shot...

A girl with long blonde hair lying on the ground, blood slowly but surely surrounding her body.

A man with brown hair was laughing, saying he broke an oath. An oath... Why does that seem familiar?

"Ray?" A dark haired male said.

"You're human Zack." The girl says. She then passed out...

"Ray?! Ray?!" It seemed like this has happened before...

~

"RAY?!" The male shouted waking up, reaching his hand out. He was breathing and sweating heavily.

"The hell...?" He mutters, holding his head... "Who is Ray...? What the hell was that dream about?" His train of thought stopped when he heard his stomach growl.

Jax sighed. "Guess I need to head to the convenience store to get something while it's still light out."

Jax sighed and locked up his apartment before leaving the building and heading into the alleys.

"Damn these shitty places always filled with trash and bad people..." He mutters, before speeding up his pace.

~

"Hmm let's see... Mom wanted me to get snacks so we don't necessarily starve ourselves." Skye mutters, looking around at what the convenience store had to offer. She grabbed a few big bags of chips, a couple bottles of water and a few different candies that her and her sister would share.

"Hmm should be enough- oof!" Skye had bumped into something- or someone that she had must of not paid attention to and landed on the floor.

'Crap... everything fell...' She thought, before looking up at the thing- or person she ran into. "S-Sorry..." She mutters.

"It's alright. Are you okay?" The male asked, reaching a hand out to her. Her eyes widened as the voice sounded familiar. She looked up and saw his face. 'A gold and black eye.' The man from the train!

"Yeah I'm fine. Just a bit klutzy today I guess." The girl awkwardly laughed before grabbing her things and taking his hand. "Well thank you." She mutters before walking to the check out area.

'That girl... Looks familiar... The dull eyes. Ah! That girl from the train! What is she doing here by herself? It's not the safest place to be...' The male sighed. 'I really shouldn't think much about it. It's not my problem after all.'

Skye had finished checking her things out and grabbed her bags. She left the store and started to walk home... Until. "Hey. Girl!" A deep voice called out... And it wasn't one she heard before.

She felt that he wasn't the safest person to talk to, so she continued walking.

"Hey kid!" The man keeps talking to her, he starts to follow her as well. She speeds up her pace.

"Leave me alone!" Skye says and continues. She wasn't as quick because she had a smaller, thinner body.

She quickens her pace even more. She needed to get away.

Skye felt him grab her wrists. "Well you're being a bit impolite. I'm just trying to have a little conversation." The man smirked and licked his lips a bit. Skye struggled a bit to get free. She wanted to scream, she couldn't. She wanted to kick the man before things got worse, she couldn't. All she could do was close her eyes and barely think. 'Someone help! Anyone at all! Please!' A blurry picture of a man came into her mind, she couldn't make out his face, but she felt she knew his name. 'Zack!'

Just as she thought of that name, the tight grip on her wrist and hair stopped. She opened her eyes quickly. The man was knocked out, his face in the concrete of the sidewalk. She looked at what caused him to get knocked out and saw a man with different colored eyes with the lid of a trash can in hand.

"Are you all right?" The man asked.

Skye couldn't think. Too much. She couldn't process anything. She collapsed and passed out.
