I'd just like to clarify that I'm mashing all of the Sonic cannons together while adding some random things, so there's a bit of everything here.

Anyways, in today's hijinks, we meet Marklin's cousin, talk a bit more about Chaos and how Shadow could possibly be a black hole, fighting over milk ensues, Sonadow, and a very OOC Tikal.

Enjoy!

Marklin was making breakfast quietly. Tails was the first of the three animals to wake up and get out of bed, the other two probably cuddling or some shit.

“Good sleep?” Marklin asked.

“Yes, thank you.” Tails smiled, suddenly a soft noise was heard. Marklin smiled and walked to the front door. Coming back with a younger male.

“Tails, this is Timothy, Timothy, this is Tails.” Marklin introduced

“März…” Timothy stared at his brother.

“No we are not high.” Marklin claried

Tails simply smiled. “Hello there. It’s nice to meet you.”

“You as well, Mr. Prower.” Timothy held a hand to Tails.

Tails stared at him in surprise. “How did you....?”

“Sorry, Momma tells me not to do that.” Timothy apologized, Marklin rolled his eyes and ruffled Timothy’s hair, and went back to his breakfast.

Tails simply blinked, confused. Suddenly a black and red hedgehog appeared in the doorway, ears twitching. He was soon followed by a seemingly dead blue one.

“Shads, it’s too early for this….”

“I heard a noise.”

“It was just my Brother arriving.” Marklin informed, flipping a pancake.

Timothy stood, looking at them quietly.

“Hello.” Shadow said simply.

“Sup….” Sonic yawned.

>:}c “Hello, Mr. Ogilvie, Mr. Robotnik.” Timothy greeted.

Sonic almost choked as Tails snickered.

Shadow was confused. “How did you know my…. Wait, who's Ogilvie?”

“The blue one, if I am not mistaken.” Timothy said quietly.

Sonic started laughing nervously. “Heh…. Uh….”

Shadow quirked his eyebrow in amusement. “Ah, so Sonic really isn’t your name.”

“I, uh….” Sonic chuckled nervously.

“Timmy leave there names be.” Marklin told, Timothy nodded and sat down at the counter.

Sonic glanced away, ignoring Tails’s laughter. Shadow smirked, now coming up with new taunts for their races.

“Timmy!” Cass called, she hugged Timothy quickly, herself still wrapped in a blanket.

“Hi, Momma.” He responded weakly. The three animals got over their little thing, and watched Cass, slightly scared that she’d blow up again.

“Oh, I have to go change, then we'll get to business.” She said quickly, she ran off to get into fresh clothing.

The Mobians watched cautiously as she ran out, before all sighing in relief. Marklin smirked.

“Your not scared of her, are you? Only one person in this world should be truly scared of her, and she made pretty damn sure he was, so you are fine if you're still alive and in one piece.” Marklin informed.

“We were talking science, and she blew up on me; I’m not taking any chances.” Shadow crossed his arms.

“Father took his chance and look where that lead, but at the same time he was attacked-”

“Timmy you know not to talk about him.” Marklin cut over.

“Yeah….” Timothy said with a mumble.

“I really don’t think I want to know….” Sonic blinked. Shadow and Tails nodded in agreement.

“Good,” Marklin sneered.

“Anyways….” Tails glanced away from Marklin and then to Timothy. “They say that you can help Shadow?”

“What’s the infliction?” Timothy asked.

Shadow spoke up. “My body is made of pure chaos energy, which your world does not have. I need a way to, you know, not die.”

“What is the source of the energy?” Timothy asked.

“We have these things called chaos emeralds in our world.” Tails explained. “They turn thoughts into power.”

Timothy thought. “Have you tried to just think about living.”

Shadow glared at the other. “Do you really think it’s that easy?”

“Chaos is the manifestation of thought, right? Just think about being ok and you should be, I came to America for this?”

“And grilled cheese.” Cass added as she walked back in.

“Mmm, yes.”

Shadow groaned. “If only Gerald was here…. He could explain exactly how I work and function.”

“So, like, what if you were basically, like, a black hole.” Timothy threw out.

Shadow went silent, staring at Timothy. Finally, he spoke up. “I’m not even going to entertain that idea.”

“My brain hurts….” Sonic groaned.

“Eat a banana and lay in the backyard for an hour, I’m going to go get medicated.” Timothy informed.

Sonic pushed Tails away from the other. “Stay away from that one. I’ll go with Shadow.”

“Why?” Shadow asked.

Sonic shrugged. “What? I can’t lay outside with you?”

Shadow only grumbled out something unintelligible.

“If you're quiet, I guess you can go in the backyard, my neighbors have seen weirder.” Marklin sighed.

“I don’t think I want to know, but I’m way too curious to walk away right now.” Sonic said.

“Well it was a nice afternoon in summer and me and a- you know what, let’s not talk about this.” Marklin cut himself off.

Shadow just grabbed the curious hedgehog and walked towards the backyard, not wanting to hear anymore.  Marklin smirked to himself. Shadow dragged the hedgehog outside before promptly falling to the ground, closing his eyes. Sonic smiled, admiring the garden as he sat down beside the other. Marklin finally finished breakfast, and got to plating for everyone. Sonic glanced to Shadow, smile brightening slightly as he watched the other taking steady breaths. He didn’t even notice that he was moving to hold Shadow’s hand until the action was done. Shadow didn’t move, his mind now clouded and his muzzle now red.

Timothy returned, Marklin smiled at him. “Breakfast!” Marklin called. Shadow’s ear twitched as he reluctantly got up, letting go of Sonic’s hand. Sonic got up also, following the other to the kitchen.

Marklin passed out the plates. Shadow and Sonic walked in, Sonic with his smile and Shadow with his frown. Sitting down, they started to eat. Shadow glanced around. “Uh, where’s the other one?”

“Um, asleeeeeeep.” Marklin said longley.

“Shouldn’t you wake him up for food?” Tails wondered aloud. Marklin shook his head no. Tails tilted his head curiously.

“Marz, go get him.” Cass told, Marklin whined, got a cup of coffee, and trudged off to do so. Tails blinked slightly.

“He seems very reluctant….” Shadow commented. Cass laughed to herself.

“Just wait.” She sighed. The three animals were quiet. Suddenly a yelling match droned from upstairs. It resolved itself quickly.

The three mobians looked at each other, not wanting to comment on how much humans yell. Marklin and Jasper appeared in the kitchen, both sitting to eat quietly. Sonic glanced at them, but didn’t say a word as he continued eating, silently craving chili dogs.

“So what’s new?” Timothy asked.

“Nothing much.” Marklin answered, Timothy nodded. Shadow silently glanced to Timothy, questioning many things about this entire family. Timothy looked over at him and cocked his head.

“Yeah?” He asked.

Shadow just looked back down to his food. “Are all people in this world as strange as this family?”

“Shadow, that’s kinda rude.” Sonic commented.

“Since when did I care?”

“The good ones are, too perfect and you’re a piece of plastic with no soul.” Cass chimed, Timothy, Marklin, and Kathie toasted to that silently.

Sonic smiled. “That’s good, ya know? You shouldn’t form into the mold of society like most do.”

“With wonderful kids like them, I would never.” Cass peeped.

“You too, mom.” Kathie peeped, taking a drink from the gallon of milk, Marklin looked at her.

“Get a glass.” He hissed. Shadow looked to Kathie a cringed slightly.

“You shouldn’t drink from the gallon like that….”

“Since when are you my boss, porcupine?” Kathie hissed.

Shadow’s eyes lowered in a glare. “I am a hedgehog, if you needed that knowledge. And it is just proper to drink from a glass.”

“Shads, don’t get into a fight with another one….” Sonic groaned.

“Spike potato, spike potato, I’m an adult I do what I want.” Kathie snarrled.

“Such immaturity.” Shadow shook his head.

“Prude.” Kathie grumbled. Sonic snorted slightly, causing Shadow to glare at him.

“I’m not prude. I just know how to handle myself.”

“And I don’t? You have a lot of nerve spike potato.”

“Please stop with that name; it’s almost as bad as ‘Shads’”

“Hey, Shads is one of the best nicknames I’ve ever come up with!”

“Can it, Faker.”

“Pft, what the little punk is to ashamed of what the hell it is not to take a joke?” Kathe bagered.

Shadow growled. “That is just a childish name that you’re using because I said one thing.”

“Fine, what suits your fancy, prickle pickle, road spike, punk-upine?” Kathie sneered.

Shadow felt the chaos energy inside him build up in anger. Sonic visibly sweat dropped and laid his hand on Shadow’s shoulder. “Come on, Shads, don't fight her….”

“Pfft, not scared of the quill brained anointer!” Kathie gawcked.

Shadow growled, a green, spear-like energy forming in his hand. “Chaos-”

“Shadow, don’t!” Sonic tackled the other before he could release the deadly weapon. Shadow struggled under the other, trying to push him off, but Sonic relented. “Shadow, what would Maria say if she saw you doing this!?”

Almost instantly, the anger faded away. Shadow froze, now staring at the ceiling. “I….” he sighed, closing his eyes.

Kathie snorted, “Emotional sob.”

Shadow growled and Sonic looked back at her glaring. “Don’t.”

Kathie snorted again and went back to her milk. Sonic turned his attention back to Shadow who had opened his eyes again. “Shads, are you okay?”

“I’m fine….”

“You’re on the floor staring at the ceiling, are you sure you not going existential?” Marklin asked.

“I said I’m fine.” Shadow said, glaring at the ceiling.

Sonic frowned. “Shadow, please….”

“I don’t want to talk about it, Faker.” Shadow growled out as he stood up, walking towards the backyard. Sonic’s ears flattened against his head, watching him go.

“Priss-”

“Kathleen Quod Corpus Caeleste Heisenberge! Don’t talk like that about -guests-.”

Sonic looked to Kathie with a dark glare. “You shouldn’t talk about him like that. Shadow’s been through alot, and it takes a lot to break him, but I don’t think you should threaten someone who's beaten a whole hoard of aliens by himself.”

“And? I’ve been on my death bed, twice, so what he fought some aliens, or people dislike him, he doesn't have to jump down my throat in the first place.” Kathie growled.

Sonic’s quills rose in anger as he stood up. “I could care less about how many times you’ve almost died, I’ve actually died once! I’m just saying that you shouldn’t mess with him, especially because of his past and how he functions!”

“W. O. W. Fucking miracle! So what his life sucks. I was raised in hell on Earth and you don’t see me being a fucking asshole to everyone!”

Sonic growled. “He was raised in space with one human friend, and she got fucking shot right in front of his eyes! Do you know how hard it is to even get close to him like I have!?”

“Sonic….” Tails’s eyes widened, never seeing this side to his big brother.

“I’ve watched groups get mowed down by machine gun, I watched people starve and families never even see each other for decades! I don’t even have any history because of what happened in the past, but you know, your past is not a definition! If my past was my definition you’d know how I’d be?” Kathie caterwauled.

Sonic’s eyes narrowed. “Not everyone can deal with their past as well as you.” He then walked to the backyard, slamming the door shut. Tails watched, wide eyed.

“See, you piss everything off, start buying your own goddamn milk.” Marklin hissed.

Sonic plopped down beside the dark hedgehog, who had his head buried in his knees. “Are you okay, Shadow....?”

“Just leave me alone….” Shadow’s voice wavered.

“Shadow? Are you crying…?”

Meanwhile, Tails looked to Marklin. “Do you think that they’ll be okay?”

“Most people are after a while.” Marklin chirped nonchalantly.

Tails’s ears flattened against his skull. “I’ve never seen Sonic so mad before….”

“People use emotions to like, relieve stress, I don’t get things, anyways, they’ll be fine.”

Tails simply nodded, looking down. Meanwhile, Sonic was staring at Shadow with worry.

“Shadow, I know things are hard right now, but everything’s okay.”

“Nothing is okay, Sonic.” Shadow sniffled. “I almost snapped…. I-I could’ve killed an innocent.”

“Between you and me, I don’t think she’s innocent in many ways.” Sonic mumbled before wrapping an arm around the other. Shadow leaned into him, sniffling.

“Hey, kid, it’s ok, ok?” Marklin said softly.

“Th-That was just so unlike Sonic, though….” Tails said. “He’s never shouted like that before….”

“People do a lot for things they don’t normally do for those they love.” Marklin said sweetly.

Tails nodded. “O-Okay….”

“Shadow, everything is okay.” Sonic said, rubbing Shadow’s arms gently.

“Maria would be disappointed in who I am today….”

Sonic held him closely. “No, she wouldn’t, Shadow. She’d love you no matter who you are. I know I do….”

“Wh-What?” Shadow blushed as he looked to Sonic.

Sonic’s face was tinted red. “I-I…. Well, I uh….” He broke into nervous laughter.

“Sonic, stop laughing and be serious.” Shadow said.

Sonic looked away, rubbing the back of his head nervously. “W-Well, I, uh….” He sighed. “I love you, Shadow.”

Shadow’s face heated up significantly. “Y-You do?” Sonic nodded, which quickly earned him a kiss. Shadow quickly pulled away though, looking away. “I, uh, I-I love you too.”

Suddenly a bang rang out from the kitchen. “Fuck!”

Sonic’s ear twitched as he stood up. “He better not have fucking cussed in front of Tails!”

“Sonic.” Shadow blinked.

“Yeah?”

“You’re a hypocrite.”

“I’m, uhhg, somewhat ok.” Marklin called.

Sonic and Shadow went back inside to find the clumsy human.

Marklin struggled up from the floor. Then slipped again on the mlik. Tails sweatdropped. “You okay?”

“Mu Gg.” Marklin groaned from the floor.

“We leave for two minutes….” Shadow blinked.

“Yea.” Marklin sighed.

Sonic sighed, holding out his hand. “Alright, I’ll help you up.”

“I’m fine,” Marklin said, he slipped again.

Sonic sighed. “Please just let me help you.”

“Fine.” Marklin took the help.

Sonic smiled and helped him up, being careful not to slip also. Once up, Marklin looked at the pool of milk on the floor.

“Alright.” Marklin sneered, “Get this cleaned up I guess.”

“We can help.” Sonic smiled.

“Sure.” Marklin sighed.

Sonic smiled before he basically disappeared, cleaning up the mess at the speed of sound. Marklin was, shocked, a small bit. Sonic smiled before taking a cocky bow. “Your welcome.” Shadow just rolled his eyes.

“Thanks?” Marklin said weakly.

Sonic smiled brightly. “Glad I could help!”

“Yeah.”

Sonic smiled before wrapping his arm around Shadow, who didn’t say anything. Marklin smirked slightly. Sonic smiled, not really caring who watched as he nuzzled into the other. Shadow blushed softly as he purred.

“You can.” Jasper sighed.

“Called it.” Marklin chirped, he went to finish the dishes he had started before the milk.

Sonic’s ear twitched as he chuckled; Shadow blushed.

Marklin hummed as he did the dishes. He looked at Timothy. Timothy started back at him as he still ate.

“Timmy.” Marklin growled, Timothy stared at him, then, as if a magic word had been said. Took down his plate in about 30 seconds, and handed it over. Tails smiled at his brother, glad that he finally was with Shadow.

Marklin smirked as he took the now clear plate. Suddenly, a bright light enveloped the room. When it cleared, a red echidna stood straight and tall, a giant, green emerald beside him. He surveyed the room before his eyes landed on Sonic, narrowing in a glare.

“Sonic!” He growled out, clenching his fists.

Sonic visibly sweatdropped. “Oh, uh…. Hey, Knuckles….”

“-Another- one?” Marklin growled.

Knuckles ignored the human as he stepped towards the blue hedgehog. “Where have you been!?”

“Stuck here, Knucklehead.” Sonic didn’t seem fazed by the angry red echidna.

“Is that the stupid one that fell off the aeroplane?” Marklin sneered, looking the new one over.

Knuckles’s attention snapped to the human. “Excuse me!?”

“Excuse you,” Marklin snapped.

Knuckles glared at the human, amethyst eyes burning with rage. “You don’t even know me, human!”

“Knux, please….” Sonic smiled nervously. Marklin huffed and finished the dishes. Knuckles growled before crossing his arms and turning to the other Mobians.

“How did you get here, echidna?” Shadow asked.

“The Master Emerald brought me here.” Knuckles said. “While you three have been hanging out with some human, Eggman has taken over.”

“WHAT!?” The three animals yelled in sync.

“What the fuck is an ‘Eggham?’” Marklin asked.

“It’s Eggman.” Shadow said. “Otherwise known as Dr. Robotnik, the grandson of my creator and evil mastermind.”

“He’s the guy I have to fight every freakin week because he wants to take over the world.” Sonic groaned.

“He also just succeeded in that.” Knuckles crossed his arms and growled.

“Jeez, this is why governments and armies exist, what is your world doing?” Marklin commented.

“Like G.U.N. would help us out.” Shadow crossed his arms and huffed.

“They’ve tried.” Tails piped up. “But they kinda stopped when Sonic started to deal with all of it.”

“Don’t pay me for it either….” Sonic grumbled before saying a bit louder, “I’m the only one really doing anything to stop him. Besides help from my friends, of course.”

“Why haven't you just killed him yet.” Timothy asked.

Sonic gasped like it was the worst thing ever spoken. “Never! Why would I want to take someone’s life!?”

“If he is a terror on the lives of millions, shouldn’t one life be sacrificed, Mr. Spock said that or some thing.” Timothy said nonchalantly.

“Everyone deserves life.” Sonic said simply.

“Get that toxic attitude out of this house.” Marklin snapped suddenly.

Sonic crossed his arms. “What nonsense are you talking about now?”

“Every damn person has the right to safety and security, and if you compromise even one person of that for your own selfish purpose you are just as bad. If you think you can come here and say that-”

“HONEY- SHUT UP!” Cass yelled from the other room.

“Selfish purpose?” Sonic tilted his head. “I have no selfish purpose for, ya know, not killing someone.”

“‘The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.’” Marklin said snappily.

“That’s the quote!” Timothy peeped.

“You two are unbelievably stubborn.” Shadow groaned slightly. “Just drop the subject so we can focus on the fact that our world is fucking industrialized.”

“And?” Marklin sniffed.

“And that’s not a fucking good thing!” Shadow growled. “It means that I’ve failed my promise to Maria! It means that everybody is being roboticized! It means that everything we’ve all worked so hard for is being destroyed!”

“How do you roboticize a living being? Like that's some Borg shit, and I do not think that only biotic can be transferred to abiotic as you suggest?” Timothy said.

“Honey, they don’t have physics in their world.” Marklin explained.

Sonic was shaking. “Everyone is being roboticized…. N-Not again….”

“Sonic….” The other three Mobians looked to him sadly.

“‘Every one’ can only be so many.” Cass said as she walked in. The others turned to her, Knuckles basically shocked because there was yet another human being.

Sonic sighed. “He’s done this before….”

“A lot's happened before, history is only a figment to what one says as truth.” Cass growled.

Sonic’s ears flattened against his head as he looked down, his three friends looking at him, concerned. “I lost basically my entire family to robotization: Muttski, dad, Uncle Chuck….”

“And, I lost my entire family, history, culture, and Religion, In one fell swing. We all have something that's gone, ok kid.” Cass snarrled.

Sonic looked up to her, his eyes shimmering slightly with tears.

Cass took a deep breath, “Alright, kid, you lost some family, that fucking sucks, but you also gotta remember, there is a lot more than them in this world, and it’s up to you to make life after you better than life before you and durring you. Got it?”

Sonic sniffled slightly and nodded. “Y-Yeah….”

“What is the rock?” Timothy asked.

Knuckles glanced to him, wondering why the human was commenting that now of all times. “This is the Master Emerald, controller of all chaos and unifier of the chaos emeralds.”

“So it’s the emitter of the status field in which converts thoughts to a form of energy?” Timothy asked.

Knuckles blinked. “Yeah, basically.”

“Is now really the time for this?” Shadow crossed his arms, glaring at the two who decided to strike up a conversation.

“Do you want to die? So, Mr. Guardian, would the concentration of thought towards it cause a reaction to amplify, in which could be sustained into a solid, of which we can power prickle pickle here?”

Knuckles snorted as he glanced to Shadow before continuing the conversation. “Well, a lot is still unknown about the power of chaos, even to me, but I’m sure that I can just ask Tikal….” he looked over to the emerald, before walking towards it and knocking on it, “Yo, Tikal! You think you can help prickle pickle here!?”

Sonic instantaneously went from crying to rolling on the floor laughing. Shadow growled to the echidna. An echoing female voice rang out throughout the kitchen. “Fuck off, I was sleeping….”

Knuckles groaned. “You brought me here to help them get home, didn’t you?”

“Yes, but that is all I wanted to do.” the female voice responded.

Sonic kept laughing, clutching his stomach. “Jeez, Knux, you sure do know how to talk to women.”

“Quiet, ya blue rat!” Knuckles growled.

“Thats a good one.” Marklin commented to the nickname. Knuckles looked annoyed, nothing seeming to go his way that day.

He then looked back to the emerald. “Please, Tikal….”

“Ugh, fine.” The voice echoed before the emerald glowed even brighter than it usually did, leading them all to disappear.
