"I'd hate to ruin your current love connection but we need to get home," Chloe's voice suddenly snapped Max and Gidget out of it. "Aww, I was hoping they would kiss..." Mel whimpered. Sweetpea whacked the pug on the back of the head. Sighing, Chloe continued, "We're using the Manhattan Bridge. There's an ambush waiting for us on the Brooklyn Bridge."

"What?!" Duke exclaimed.

"Wait, we can't go home yet!" Max cried out. All eyes turned to look at him. Clearing his throat, the terrier explained, "The reason why Duke and I are out here is because... we're trying to find Duke's old home."

"You're leaving?!" Mel and Buddy said at the same time. Sweetpea chirped loudly.

"No, I just want to see my owner again..." Duke mumbled, shuffling his paws nervously. Patting the giant mutt on the shoulder, Max glanced over at Gidget and pleaded, "Please, I told him we would visit his owner and I meant it. We came this far, we can't go back now when we're this close." Smiling softly, Gidget nodded her head in understanding as she responded in a kind tone, "Lead the way."

Chloe looked like she was going to have a full blown heart attack as she yowled, "Are you kidding me right now you little-"

"Duke, let's go!" Max interrupted Chloe's rant. Glancing around, Duke commented quietly, "This street does look a little familiar." Without another word, the mutt padded down the sidewalk, his brother by his side like always. The search party followed. Gidget was among the last as she watched Max quietly. Recalling what had happened about two minutes earlier, she sighed happily.

"He seems very dreamy," Tiberius spoke softly in a teasing manner.

"Yeah- you did that on purpose!" Gidget growled slightly as she glared at the old hawk, who was currently laughing inside his head.
