Toomi: With video games increasingly turning to gritty, dark and brutal anti-heroes as their main characters, it can be a breath of fresh air when one video games features a classic example of a kind and helpful hero.

Megumi: And what's better than a couple of hybrid heroes? She's Sachi, Toomi and I'm Megumi

Sachi: And it's our job to analyse their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle

Toomi: Long ago, Sequin Land was the setting for a massive battle between two opposing forces; the Guardian Genies and the Pirate Master in a struggle between light and dark magic.

Megumi: To Finally Defeat their foe, the Guardian Genies eventually sealed him away on a pokey little grave on a deserted island. Man, talk about a fall from glory.

Sachi: And it Didn't Stop with the Pirate King. As the years passed, the genies began to disappear. Where to? Nobody really knew, although some believed back to their own realm.

Megumi: Wait, there's an entire realm filled with attractive women known for granting any wish? How cool is that?

Toomi: In spite of the absences of the Guardian Genies and Pirate Masters, there were two individuals who would continue the legacy of their conflict. The former first mate of the Pirate King, Risky Boots, and the Half-Genie Shantae, the daughter of a mortal man and one of the disappearing genies.

Megumi: Raised by her uncle mimic, Shantae works as the Guardian Genie of Scuttle Town-hang on a moment, is that what she's wearing?

Toomi: Oh, come on Megumi, I know it's a little...eye-catching, but you've seen...

Megumi: I mean, it's completely impractical for her occupation!

Toomi: I...oh. Well, she is living in a town in the middle of the desert, so a Parka wouldn't be the most favorable choice.

Megumi: I guess. Plus, she looks really good in it too.

Sachi: Well anyway, good looks or not, the real attraction Shantae possesses is her arsenal, which includes, of all things, her hair.

Toomi: This so-named Hair Whip is Shantae's main method of fighting back, utilizing her long hair as a makeshift whip to strike enemies with at sort distances.

Megumi: So it's like that Willow Smith song," I whip my hair back and forth. I whip my hair back and forth.

Sachi: And, amazingly, without breaking her neck.

Toomi: Shantae may be a skilled fighter up close, but she's also well versed in magic, utilized through her Belly Dances. Aside from being able to teleport her back to whatever town she had previously visited, they can also let her take on a variety of different forms; she can become a climbing monkey, a swimming mermaid, a flying harpy and a hard hitting elephant.

Sachi: She's taken on the various evil barons of the land, her archenemy Risky Boots and even her dark clone, Nega-Shantae.

Megumi: In the same battle, Shantae was able to take hits from Nega-Shantae dropping onto her in her elephant form. That kind of impacting power would equal 1.4 million tons of force.

Sachi: She even goes toe-to-toe with Pirate Master, whose presence alone eclipsed an entire town, and that's before he even transformed into fully charged state!

Defeated Wilbur, a giant centipede estimated to be over 500ft long.

Previously, Belly Dancing took a lot of time to pull off, and could leave her vulnerable towards enemy attacks... though as of recently can slow the perception of time and even bring it to a stop!

Dodged lasers in Cape Crustacean in a room full of metal, since it doesn't conduct, and burns on surfaces.. its safe to assume its a laser

Can dodge lasers and plasma/lightning balls from the Empress Siren, as well as survive their destruction.

Fought Tinkerbrain who was able to control four full genies at once.

Toomi: Judging from this calculation, the storm Pirate Master created can generate a force that's worth 65 megatons of TNT. That is 4 megatons higher than the eruption of Hunga Tonga–Hunga Ha'apai, which by the way, is considered to be almost a hundred times more powerful than the bomb that dropped on Hiroshima!

Megumi: Holy damn! Unfortunately, what she has in brawn she kind of lacks in brains.

Toomi: Not to say that she's stupid but she has been tricked by people in the past before.

Sachi: Plus, she's constantly getting fired by the Mayor of Scuttle Town

Weakness

She considers herself a bad role model due to her bad temper, lack of self-confidence, and fashion sense.

Lost her magical abilities by the hands of Risky Boots. She eventually reacquired them during her confrontation with the Pirate Master.

Is frequently fired as the Guardian of Scuttletown, either by the Mayor himself, or by court hearing.

Constricting their movements can leave her practically helpless. Armor Baron utilized this trick to trick Shantae into wearing Fake Genie armor and it was a solid piece.

Toomi: But a more real weakness is that her Belly Dances take time to complete and can leave her open to attack.

Sachi: Not to mention that she considers herself a bad role model because of her bad temper, lack of self confidence and her fashion sense

Megumi: Still, Shantae is one of the most powerful Half-Genies in existence. Evildoers all over the land fear her name, and she is praised all over Sequin Land for her heroic acts.

Toomi: The planet known as Avalice existed in an era of prosperity thanks due to the Kingdom Stone, a source of power from the depths of space. In spite of the tensions between the various kingdoms, Avalice remained free from any outright war, but that all changed until an alien stranger arrived.

Megumi: Actually, it had already changed by the time the alien stranger arrived, because the evil dude he was chasing after, Lord Brevon, had already infiltrated the kingdom to begin undermining it from within. So the guy chasing him, Torque, kind of showed up late to the party.

Sachi: But when he did finally show up to the party, his crashed ship was found by a young half-water dragon named Sash Lilac.

Megumi: Explaining his mission to keep the Kingdom Stone safe, Sash decided to lend a helping hand like the compassionate dragon girl she was.

Toomi: Well she did try to rob some people beforehand.

Megumi:...That's...um...less compassionate.

Toomi: Don't worry, her better traits get more focus on her adventure and besides, they were rich folk, they have money to spare.

Sachi: Good thing Sash still has her good heart too, because if there was someone worth saving the world, it's her.

Megumi: Plus she looks really stylish doing it with those ear decorations on her head.

Sachi: Well I hate to prove a contradicting point again, but with you narrating I have no choice. Those decorations on her head aren't decorations, they're hearing aids.

Megumi: Wait hearing aids? You mean she is deaf?

Toomi: Well, due to her water dragon heritage, Sash suffers from a genetic defect that leaves her a little hard of hearing, hence the hearing aids. But it's hardly an issue.

Megumi: Especially since she makes up for it with her incredible speed. Not quite Sonic the Hedgehog speed, but still pretty quick in her own right.

Toomi: And being a Water Dragon, Sash Lilac is a very well swimmer but she still needs oxygen.Lilac has total of Five elemental shields, Wood Shield protects Sash from poison attack, Earth Shield makes her immune to Rock and Crystal attacks, Water Shield gives Lilac to breath in underwater, Fire Shield gives enemies constant damage and makes her immune to fire and Metal Shield makes her immune to Spikes and Electricity.

Megumi: Lilac has one more thing, a FREAKING GIANT ROBOT DRAGON THAT SHOOTS LASERS!!!

Sachi: That said Robot Dragon is called Pangu, this Dragon was created by a Dragon Scientist in the ancient ages, Sash Lilac fought against that Robot Dragon, thinking it was one of Lord Brevon's robots but it wasn't.

Megumi: You may think Defeating a Robot Dragon was enough, she overpowered all of Brevon's Robots, which can kill a normal animal, Sash Lilac survived Brevon's knife slash, that knife slash was powerful enough to kill the King of Shuigang with one slash.

Toomi: And thanks to her time spent with criminal guild, the Red Scarves, Sash has a number of fighting techniques under her belt.

Megumi: Using her hair she can strike foes with the Hair Whip. Wait, that sounds familiar...

Sachi: She can also use her hair to perform the Rising Slash or spin around with the Dragon Cyclone. But her other limbs have their uses, such as the Dive Kick.

Megumi: And the Invincibility Shield gives Sash 30 seconds of true invulnerability. Not that she needs it all the time, since she was tough enough to survive hits from a robotic snake that busted through a stone wall.

Defeated Lord Brevon and his army

This included mechs, attack gunships and even the final Dreadnought piloted by Brevon himself

Toomi: But undeniably one of her most impressive showings of strength was the strength of her will when put under torture by Lord Brevon, which involved severing her hair and electrocuting her near to death.

Megumi: And yet she still pulled through to deliver one hell of a beat down on his invading ass.

Toomi: Sash is certainly a determined fighter, but that also means she can leap into battle before actually thinking things through and has been taken by surprise on more than one occasion.

Sachi: And she possesses incredible anger issues

Toomi: And her hearing problems doesn't really make things easy for her though that's not really her biggest flaw at all

Toomi: Alright, the combatants are set, let's end this debate once and for all.

Tropical Stage

During a warm sunny day, the sun shines down onto a tropical rainforest town though the atmosphere is anything but peaceful

Standing across each other stood Shantae and Sash who are both stretching and warming up for their duel

Shantae: Alright, let's do this!

Sash: Give it your best shot!

Announcer: Fight!

Both Shantae and Sash leaps up into the air, jumping right into each other.

BAM!!!

As the two leaps away, Shantae throws a kick, forcing Sash Lilac to create a wood shield, blocking the blow.

WHACK!!!

Just as Sash jumps back, Shantae whips her hair at her, causing the Water Dragon to yelp out in shock.

CRACK!!!

Sash: Yah!

Shantae: Surprised?

Sash grins and she spoke

Sash: Not really. Cause I can do that too.

Sash whips her hair out, striking into Shantae.

CRACK!!!

Shantae: ARGHHHHH!!!

Shaking her head, Shantae growls and she declares out

Shantae: Alright! Hair off!

Both Shantae and Sash began whipping their hair back and forth, cracking against each other

The genie and dragon hair whips back and forth at a blurring pace, neither of the two seems to be slowing down.

As the two continues to exchange blows, with one final whip, both Shantae and Sash were sent flying back.

CRACK!!!

Shantae halts on the ground, panting as she says to herself

Shantae: She's surprisingly strong. At this rate, this hair fight will never end. I better do something.

Using her hair, Shantae grabs onto a rock before using it to throw right at Sash.

Sash whips her hair, destroying the boulder with one hit.

CRASH!!!

However, right at that moment, a blast of fire struck Sash, causing her to scream out in agony.

Sash: ARGHHHHH!!!

Shantae prepares to throw another blast of fire only for Sash to create a fire shield, shielding herself from the attack.

Sash: That the best you can do?

Sash performs her Dragon Cyclone, spinning around as she strikes Shantae repeatedly.

WHAM!!! BAM!!! POW!!!

Shantae throws her leg out only for Sash to block before whipping her hair across, striking the genie.

WHAM!!!

Shantae bounces back just as Sash lunges forward, only for Shantae to perform her belly dance, disappearing from sight.

Sash: Huh?

Shantae suddenly appears behind Sash before throwing a punch, striking into her.

WHAM!!!

Just as Sash drops down, Shantae began transforming into her monkey form.

Sash simply stares at her and she expresses out.

Sash: Really?

That is until Shantae jumps onto her, causing her to scream out as the two tumbles over the edge, falling straight into the water below.

SPLASH!!!

As Shantae found herself sinking, Sash swam across the water, striking her repeatedly.

WHAM!!! BAM!!! POW!!!

Sash: Seriously. You just throw me into water, my own element.

Shantae began transforming, changing her mermaid form and she retorts

Shantae: Yeah well water is my element too.

Both Shantae and Sash clashes against each other underwater, the two seemingly evenly matched though Sash seems to move a lot faster.

Sash slams into Shantae swimming up before throwing her out of the water.

SPLASH!!!

However, just as Sash looks up, what she saw shocks her.

Shantae transforms into her elephant form, using her massive size and weight to fall flat on top of Sash.

Shantae trumpets out, using her trunk to lift up Sash before throwing her straight into a building.

CRASH!!!

Shantae steps forward and she asks.

Shantae: Had enough?

However, right at that moment, a large figure bursts out of the debris, shocking Shantae.

Shantae: What?!

Sash Lilac sat in the cockpit of Pangu, the robot dwarfing Shantae's elephant form by a huge margin.

Sash: Not so big now aren't you?

Shantae charges forward, slamming her tusk as she wrestled against Pangu, only for the robot to push her back before throwing a punch, striking into her.

WHAM!!!

Pangu then charges up a powerful blast of laser before firing right into Shantae, blasting into her.

THOOM!!!

The blast sends Shantae flying, crashing into a nearby hut.

CRASH!!!

Shantae then transforms into her Harpy form, flying into the air as she swoops past the robot, using her small size and superior speed to dodge attacks from Pangu

Shantae then uses Obliterate, instantly destroying the giant robot.

KABOOM!!!

With Pangu destroyed, both Shantae and Sash lands across each other, determined to end off the fight.

Sash and Shantae then activates their invincibility, charging forward as the two began exchanging kicks and punches.

WHAM!!! BAM!!! POW!!!

Although the two seems to be evenly matched with neither capable of hurting each other, the tide of the battle however, began shifting.

Right as the 30 seconds mark has passed, Sash's invincibility wore off, causing her to curse out.

Sash: Darn it.

CRACK!!!

Shantae whips her hair across, striking into Sash as she sends the water dragon flying.

Just as Sash crashes onto the ground, Shantae declares out.

Shantae: This ends here, obliterate!

Upon utilising the magic, Sash's entire body went off in a massive explosion, exploding into nothingness.

BOOM!!!

With Sash obliterated, Shantae exhales out.

Shantae: Whew! What a work out!

Feeling triumphant from her victory, Shantae smiles as she breaks into her belly dance to celebrate.

Megumi: I'm not a hair stylist but I'm pretty sure blood is not a good substitute for gel.

Toomi: Sash Lilac was a skilled fighter in her own right, but in the end Shantae had the abilities and capabilities to win this duel.

Sachi: Her standard abilities were much more plentiful than Sash's, who actually had to zoom around random areas hoping to stumble upon a Shield Crystal, whilst Shantae can always access any of her transformations with her Belly Dances.

Toomi: Both have been able to push giant stone blocks, but Shantae is actually about a head taller than Sash, and thus so are the different boulders both have exclusively pushed, meaning Shantae likely takes the edge in strength.

Sachi: Even then, Shantae was way too tough for Sash to harm her with anything she had. Sash could take attacks from a robot who could bust through a wall with 22 thousand tons of force. But Shantae could take the attacks of her evil double when she transformed into an elephant and fell on top of her, which equals 1.4 million tons of force, making Shantae 63 times tougher than Sash.

Megumi: Poor Sash, seems like the only thing she had going for her was her speed.

Toomi: Shockingly, that's not even the case at all.

Megumi: Say what?

Toomi: Let me explain; Sash's best shown feat of speed was dodging an attack made of sound from a robotic enemy. Shantae, meanwhile, dodged lightning bolts from the Giga Mermaid. And a lightning bolt eclipses a normal sound wave many times over and thus so does Shantae's speed to Sash's, at least as far to how quickly they could react. In fact, that's why thunder comes after lightning; it's a whole lot slower.

Sachi: Even if Sash charged into Shantae at top speeds of at least Mach 2, this would only deal a force of nearly 30 thousand newtons, much lower than Shantae's shown durability.

Megumi: So I guess that means that Shantae could make use of her Belly Dances on the fly during this battle, thanks to being able to act faster than Sash could.

Toomi: Overall, in spite of Sash's achievements, Shantae could overpower her thanks to her strength, durability, more accessible arsenal and surprisingly superior speed.

Megumi: At least Shantae got Sash out of her hair

Sachi: The winner is Shantae

Shantae: And don't come back!

* Shantae's and Sash's brief clash underwater is a reference to the battle Ladybug and Cat Noir vs Sharkboy and Lava Girl where Ladybug and Sharkboy clashes underwater, the fight even involving one character using their aquatic fighting against a character that is naturally aquatic

* During the battle, the tropical landscape where Shantae and Sash fought each other was from the game Skullgirls

* This fight was originally gonna be released earlier to commemorate the release of Shantae: Risky Redemption though Daddy-Mikasa lacks the time to do so last season
