Oh! the friend-zone!

My long acquainted friend.

Throughout the course of life,

I've noticed a saddening trend.

Every guy I've ever loved

Has declared me unworthy.

He just wants to be friends.

How stupid of me?

I'm not girlfriend material.

To them, I like more of a sister.

But I don't even get the chance

To prove you wrong, mister.

I'm loyal, faithful, trustworthy,

And I'm always there.

When you needed a shoulder

I was the one to care.

I never share your secrets.

We've always had such fun.

But now it's all "different"

Our good times are almost none.

But I'll still be here waiting

For you to see the light.

I'll be in the friendliness

Making sure everything goes alright.
