Blinding light. That is all I could see, all I could feel. It was all I could take. I should feel warm, but this light left me frozen in place, paralized. I tried to open my eyes, to only feel the dry air beating them closed again. A second time I tried, keeping them half-open. Baby steps Bethany, baby steps.

I opened my eyes and just looked straight ahead. I was on my side there was red on the right side of my vision, so I probably have a concussion. That explains my eye problem right now. I looked further ahead, Andy was holding onto this man, no, his father. They were both grey, turned to stone. Andy still had a scream stuck to his face. The father was smiling, looking away from it all. I just was fixated on them. I could not move a muscle. I am stuck to the ground. I just put my focus off them and onto the air.

Ash. Ash was falling through the scene, remnants of the blast at hand. Why did he have to die?! Why not me? What does this curse I have have to do with anyone? Why does everyone I know and love eventually die by my side?

I don't understand. "Max, if only you were here. Things could go so much better. Why did you have to die, too? You were so innocent and adorable and had that perfect smile that I would die to see again! Why can't you just come back to me! Arceus, dammit! Just bring max back!" I screamed into the distance, trying to stand up in the process. I fell to my knees again. My arms were heavy. I placed my palms on the ground to stand, but I became paralized again, motionless. I fell back onto my thighs, legs going out to either side.

A crash broke the silence I fell into. I looked to my right. I pulled myself over to the edge, not having the energy to crawl and looked down. Tears; that is all I have. Tears. The man at the bottom of the pit, Tracy was staring back up at me; motionless, blood coming from behing him. I've come this far, to lose everyone around me. Now him. I thought he'd make it, but I was wrong yet again.

I just can't take this anymore. I rolled myself over to face directly up as well. There was an overcast sky above, giving away to the blue I hadn't seen in years. It was blue, facing down on me. I felt the warmth on my face, chest, and legs and just sighed in peace. I finally found peace. Well, if this is the end, at least I will see everyone else I have come to destroy. At least I will find Max again. At least I would have made a difference.

I just smiled as my vision went to white.
