A few days later, after we had gotten more of our things unpacked and put away and settling into the house a bit, Dad suggested to me that I go and explore the neighborhood a bit and meet some new people since we'll be living here now.

I hesitatingly agreed and started to ride my bike around the neighborhood.

It was Saturday morning, so I could see people coming and going from the neighborhood as they drove past me.

As I rode my bike more into the neighborhood, I began to notice that the houses were looking more spread out from each other with huge lawns and the houses themselves looked huge and estate like. Something that you would probably only see on tv or hear about from someone.

Is this really part of the neighborhood? Seems like something that you would see on the other side of town or in places like New York or Hollywood.

This can't be right. Did I make a wrong turn somewhere? I stopped riding my bike, looked around to see if I could turn around somewhere and head back home.

Man, I must be lost, I should probably ask someone for directions on how to get out of here.

The driveways to the estates all had gates in front of them so, it would be difficult to even ask anyone living there for help but right now, I had no other options but to press one of the intercom systems in front of one of the houses.

Randomly I pressed one of the intercom's button and heard the buzzing sound for a few seconds before someone answered it.

"Hello? Who's this?" I hear a young man's voice say through the speaker.

"Umm Yeah, hi. Sorry to bother you but I am lost and was wondering if you could give directions on to get out of this neighborhood." I replied.

"Oh I see. Let me open the gate for you so you could come on in. Just wait one moment please." He said before I hear the speaker click off.

Guess I got lucky by finding someone who was nice enough to give me directions.

The gate then opened a few minutes later and I ride my bike down the long driveway as I heard the gate close behind me in the distance.

The driveway had trees on either side of it, making an arch of their branches. The blooming buds on them were a beautiful pink color and I couldn't help but admire them as I rode my bike under them.

At the end of the driveway was a stone fountain with water spouting out of it. It had round bushes surrounding the stone wall that kept the water inside.

To think I live close to all of this. How Dad afford a place so close to it?

I leaned my bike up against one of the concrete pillars and rang the doorbell. When the door opened there stood a boy in blue jeans and a shirt that said "It's fish taco Tuesday."
