Chapter 28: What if

Taehyung and his hyungs went on a vacation. They canceled their work just to have their vacation. Of course, their reason is for Jungkook's mental health and to have fun.

They were currently doing volleyball on the beach which Jin rented for a whole week just for them.

"Mine, mine!" Taehyung yelled when Jimin served the ball to his side.

Taehyung blocked the ball and hit it to Jimin's side and luckily no one block his hit.

"Yes! We win!" Taehyung screamed winning 3-1 after the game.

He hugged Jungkook who was his teammate.

"Good job, Taehyung." Jin giggled and high five with him.

"Nice game" Jimin clapped.

"Okay that's enough, come here and let's eat. I'm done cooking here." Yoongi uttered after settling the food.

They went to him, sitting on the blanket on the sand.

"Here, Jungkook, eat a lot, okay?" Taehyung smiled serving Jungkook his food.

Jungkook was sitting beside him and they were formed in a circle.

"Okay, hyung." Jungkook giggled.

"Good boy." Taehyung teased ruffling his hair.

"Aish, Taehyung, stop teasing Jungkook and treat him as if he was a kid." Jin uttered.

"Why? He's still a kid for me." Taehyung pouted.

"He's grown up now." Jin sighed.

"Still, I don't care if he is a grown-up. He's my baby brother." Taehyung chuckled.

"This boy." Jin muttered shaking his head.

"Later night, we'll have a bonfire so make sure not to sleep. I heard this place was popular at night for having a beautiful view of the stars. I would love to see that." Hoseok said.

"That's a good idea, hyung." Taehyung responded.

"Jungkook, why aren't you speaking?" Namjoon asked.

"I-I don't know what to say." Jungkook responded rubbing the back of his neck.

"Just say, Jin hyung you're so handsome, that would be enough." Jin smirked.

"Hyung, don't scare Jungkook, just say Jimin you're so tall." Jimin snickered.

Jungkook can't help but let out a chuckle. He loves to see them like this. However, he didn't notice that Taehyung was staring at him, loving to see him being happy. Taehyung look like he was staring at the love of his life.

"Wow, as if you have long legs." Jin sneered.

"I'm tall but don't stand beside me. I felt so small." Jimin retorted.

"Because you are." Jin replied.

"Okay, stop that, Taehyung don't stare too much, he might melt." Yoongi grinned.

Taehyung came back to his senses when Jungkook looked at him. He cleared his throat, looking and eating his food while blushing.

After that, they went to their room to change clothes. Taehyung and Jungkook are roommates. Hoseok and Jimin were preparing for the bonfire.

"Hyung" Jungkook called out while Taehyung was wearing his clothes.

"Yes?" Taehyung responded turning to him.

"I'm sorry if I didn't talk too much." Jungkook uttered fidgeting his fingers.

"You don't have to say sorry, I understand you. Just take your time until you get comfortable." Taehyung replied bopping their nose.

"Thank you, hyung, for understanding me and not giving up on me." Jungkook uttered hugging Taehyung tightly.

"Of course, I wouldn't give up on you. I don't want to regret anything again. I will do anything for you, Jungkook." Taehyung replied looking straight at Jungkook's eyes.

Suddenly, their eyes locked on each other. Taehyung felt hypnotized by Jungkook's eyes. He looks at Jungkook's lips, feeling interested in how soft it was. When he looked back at Jungkook's eyes, he didn't notice that their faces were approximately close.

Jungkook was leaning towards him not until they heard the door open.

"Taehyung, Jungkook, let's go. Preparing was already done." Jin interrupted causing them to pull away.

"Yeah, sure." Taehyung replied not even bothering looking back at Jungkook.

He came out with Jin, sighing frustratedly. For some reason, his heart was beating so fast and he felt something with Jungkook. He didn't feel it with his hyungs, but the feeling was odd.

"You two, sit here!" Jimin pointed to the vacant seat.

Jungkook and Taehyung took their seat beside each other with an awkward silence.

"Jimin and Yoongi hyung, how's your relationship?" Namjoon asked while drinking the beer.

"Doing well, planning to get married this year." Yoongi responded with a smirk.

"How about you, Taehyung? You're still single, planning to date someone?" Jimin asked.

"How could I date someone if all of you scared them?" Taehyung muttered.

"Oh, yeah, we forget about that. But who's Bogum guy? You offered us to accept him as a worker, right?" Jimin inquired.

"Yeah, he's one of the inmates who help me. You don't have to worry about him, he's a good man, hyung." Taehyung smiled.

"That's the kinda odd behavior of you, do you like him?" Jimin snickered.

"No, he's just a friend, how can you say that?" Taehyung retorted rubbing the back of his nape.

"Are you sure? Just a friend?" Jimin smirked.

"I'll cook." Jin said and stood up.

"I'll help you, hyung." Taehyung offered standing up and following Jin.

They stood in front of the grill and started to cook.

"Taehyung, what's Jungkook to you?" Jin suddenly asked while grilling the barbecue.

"What do you mean by that, hyung?" Taehyung retorted.

"Tell me now, I know if I didn't come to your room, something might happen." Jin uttered.

Taehyung cleared his throat before he speak.

"Hyung, will it be wrong if I love him more than a brother?" Taehyung asked.

Jin looked at him with his poker face.

"Do you mean, you love him?" Jin asked

"I-I don't know, I'm not sure, hyung. What if he's the one for me?" Taehyung retorted.

"What if he's not? You'll get hurt again." Jin replied.

"I get hurt because the last guy wasn't for me. What if I've been looking for love I wanted but I didn't realize it was Jungkook all the time?" Taehyung stated.

"What if you're wrong?" Jin added.

"I want to try, hyung, I want to find out. I want to follow my heart and this time, it tell me it was Jungkook. He's different, I felt something with him. The spark, I felt it with him." Taehyung muttered.

"Won't you regret it?" Jin inquired.

"I won't. I don't want to regret my decision. I want to follow my heart." Taehyung confidently retorted.

"If that's what you want to do, I'll support you. You're an adult now, I know you know what you're doing. But, Taehyung, once you need to stop, stop it so you won't get hurt. I can't stop you if Jungkook was the one who's destined for you. I can't stop your heart." Jin smiled.

"Thank you, hyung, thank you for understanding me." Taehyung uttered hugging Jin tightly.

He was glad that he have hyungs who were always on his side.
