Hi guys!

Again, if y'all can name the character and movie she's from, you're awesome.

So, I'll just go ahead and say, I know the summary (if you read it) says that this is a "book two." While it's not lying, THIS IS COMPLETELY STAND ALONE. You can read it and not be lost. It's a whole new main character from the first in the series.

If you're one of the many people who don't like spoilers, I'll warn you, that there are some in here. Basically, you just find out what happens to a few characters that were in the precious book. Nothing much. Reason being, it is chronologically after "Inside the Beast's Castle." By about 50 years.  I guess, it's technically a spin-off and not sequel. I don't know the difference in this case.                                                  

I'm one of those people who look up spoilers before the thing is even released, so... I can't fell your pain, sorry. 😂

Now that that's out of the way...

So, this is a retelling of The Nutcracker. Before we wonder what her name is (Clara, Marie, whatever else she's always called) her name's Clair. Just clearing that up before it starts.

Somewhere in here, I go off on my own little train and veer away from the original story by a LOT. It's basically explaining some of the things in here though.

Also, don't think the rats are going to be nice. They aren't small. More like "eat your face off" rats. 😁

It slightly disturbs me that I'm excited about that, but whatever.

This is also high fantasy. That means that the world they are in doesn't exist. Things can happen there that don't happen in real life. *cough* giant rats *cough* magic *cough* 

And many thanks to FairytaleCommunity, because without one of their prompts, this story wouldn't exist.
