Anu cursed herself again for the hundredth time today.

She doesn't know how she lost the track of time sitting at the park. Lot of thoughts consumed her mind and she didn't look at the time.

Now here she is walking on the road where it's heavily raining.

She waited for sometime near a shop until rain stops but it's getting dark and her mother might be worried to death. She cannot call and tell her mother because today only she decided to forget her phone at home.

So she started walking in the heavy rain and she was shivering very badly as her whole body got drenched. It's still 10 more minutes until her street comes into the view.

She draped her scarf around her tightly and started walking fast. There was a bright lightening and thunder in the sky which made her close her eyes in fear. She doesn't know what happened to her suddenly but her mind got flashed with a scene of two people hugging in the rain.

She held her head and tried to analyse that scene deeply. Another lightening occured and she closed her eyes again tightly. This time she saw the persons clearly, one was her and at the sight of other person, she stood stunned widening her eyes.

It was Siddharth.

She stood there like that only in the rain in shock until she felt someone was shaking her vigorously calling her name.

She snapped out of her state and looked at the person who is now yelling at her.

" Are you out of your mind? What are you doing here standing in the rain that too in the night?"

" Siddharth?" She said confused.

" Get in the car first." He shouted and dragged her to his car.

He made her sit in the car and he also sat in the car by running his hands in his hair furiously.

She peeked at him and saw him trying to control his anger by clenching his fists on the steering wheel.

He turned back and took out a towel which was in his gym back. He gave it to her silently and she also took it silently. She dried her hair and face with the towel. She saw his hair and face are wet too.

" You also wipe your hair and face otherwise you may catch cold." She said passing the towel to him.

He snapped his head towards her and looked at her incrediously.

"I will catch cold? Do you even have any idea what might have happened to you?" He said in rage.

" Why are you so angry?" She asked him wide eyed and he glared at her.

" Why were you standing in the rain that too in the middle of the road?" He yelled at her.

" Why are you yelling at me?" She asked him raising her voice.

" First answer me, why are you outside at this time?" He asked glaring at her.

"  No first answer me.....why are you getting so hyper?" She asked him irritated.

" Why can't you just answer my question?" He asked her angrily.

" Why can't you just stop asking question for a question and answer my question for once?" She asked equally angry.

" Why can't you just shut up?" He asked her annoyed.

" Why can't you just drive?" She said exasperated.

He huffed rolling his eyes at her and started the car. She also huffed and turned towards the window.

She smiled at their childish argument, it was unbelievable for her and that too it was with Siddharth and she loved it. It was like the argument and words came out naturally between them.

He stopped the car in front of her house and Anu looked at him astonished.

" How do you know where I live?" She asked him frowning.

" I don't know. I stopped the car to ask you the directions of your house." He said turning towards the window making her frown deeper.

She got down the car but got slipped due to her wet slippers and slippery road. She fell down and groaned loudly. Siddharth quickly got to her side and saw her sitting on the road groaning.

He couldn't help but laugh loudly at her position. She glared at him but got lost in his laugh.....it's a rare sight to see a man like Siddharth laughing like that.

He looked down at her after his laughing got subsided and saw her pouting at him cutely still sitting in that position. He shook his head smiling at her and picked her in his arms making her squeal in shock.

" What are you doing Siddu? Put me down!" She exclaimed and his heart fluttered when she called him Siddu.

" Why? To fall again and again. Now shut up and show me your house." He said it like it's not a big thing and it's his routine to walk with her in his arms.

She pointed her house and he walked towards the house with her in his arms. She just stared at him the whole time and admired him. At that time only her mind got flashed with one more scene in front of her. The scene of someone carrying her in their arms and that flash was just for a second as it went away in a blink.

She doesn't know how she is getting these flashes but she definitely knows that these must be a part of her past.

" Oh my god! What happened?" She heard her mother's worried voice.

Siddharth put her down immediately and she lost the feeling of his touch and warmth.

" Ma, actually I lost the track of time while sitting at the park and when I started walking back to house, it started raining. I couldn't call you because I forgot my phone and while I   was walking........." She stopped her rambling when she saw her mother is not even listening to her as all her attention was on Siddharth who is just smiling at her.

Her mouth dropped open wide in shock as here she was explaining what happened because she thought her mother must be worried to death but all she sees is her mother is more interested on the stranger standing beside her than her own daughter.

" Oh my God! You are all drenched.....come you should dry yourself." Her mother said looking at Siddharth's wet clothes.

" Ma!" Anu whined.

" What are you still doing here? Go and change until I say thanks to the person who helped you so much." Her mother said and again turned to Siddharth who looked amused by the whole situation.

Anu stomped her feet like a kid and went to her room to change.

Assuring Anu was out of their sight, her mother hugged Siddharth ignoring his wet clothes.

" I missed you so much beta." She cried.

" Mee too aunty." He said hugging her back.

" How did you find her?" She asked pulling away.

" When you said on the phone that she is still not home, I got worried and immediately drove towards the park and there I saw her standing in the middle of the road fully drenched, so I brought her home." He said wiping his head with the towel.

" You didn't tell me that you both met already before." She asked raising her brows.

" I don't even have to ask how you know about that as I know Neha can't shut her mouth." He muttered and she laughed.

" I am happy you know, she didn't got repulsed when she met you......I mean her health is improving, she is slowly becoming the Anu we know." She said happily and Siddharth just nodded his head looking down.

" She will come around beta, don't worry......just give her some time." She said looking at his pained face.

" Yeah." He sighed loudly rubbing his face.

" I will go now, she will get doubt if I stay longer " Sid said turning to leave.

" Oh, let her think whatever she wants, it's high time now. I am not going to leave you as you have come here after so many days and don't worry I will cover for her." Her mother said excited.

Siddharth just laughed at her.

" Your clothes are still here.....I will bring them." She said and left.

He just looked around the house examining everything. He is used to their house in Karolbagh but this house feels new to him as he had just come here only once or maybe twice.

Soon, Anu's mother brought his clothes and he left to change. He came after 10 minutes and went to kitchen to see Anu's mother preparing his favourite coffee.

" Wow.....I missed this." He said sipping his coffee making her smile.

" Where is Uncle?" Siddharth asked.

" He is in Karolbagh beta. He had some work with my brother and so he went there, may be he will come tomorrow." She said.

At the mention of Karolbagh, his mind flashed with many memories.

Anu took a warm shower and changed into some warm clothes. She came into the living room and heard laughs. She peeked from a corner and saw both her mother and Siddharth were laughing sitting on the dining table.

She doesn't know why but her heart fluttered at the scene in front of her.

" They really did that!" Her mother asked and he nodded.

" You both have such great friends who worries about you so much." She said.

" That we do but sometimes they go  extreme." Siddharth said shaking his head.

Anu wants to know what they were talking about but she couldn't understand anything.

" Stop eavesdropping our conversation and come out now." Siddharth said without turning making Anu's mom look behind him where she saw Anu behind a wall.

Anu stood rooted in her place embarrassed.

" I was not eavesdropping." She said walking towards them.

" Yeah sure." He said making her mother laugh.

" How did you even know I was standing there?" She asked him frowning.

" I just know." He said and looked away.

Anu's mother has a knowing smile on her face looking at both of them.

" From where do you got those clothes to change?" She asked admiring his look in casuals.

" They were in my car in my gym bag." He said to her sipping his coffee.

" Where did you got changed?" She asked.

" Will you stop asking questions?" He asked irritated. He doesn't want to lie but she is making him lie asking questions.

She rolled her eyes at him and turned towards her mother who is looking at them amused.

" Ma, I want coffee too." She asked her.

Her mother brought her some coffee.

" So Ma, this is Siddharth.....he......." She was cut off by him.

" We already had our introductions." Sid muttered making her glare at him.

" Thanks for the coffee aunty, I will be leaving now." Siddharth said getting up.

Anu's face fell as she doesn't want him to go.

" No it's still raining beta, please wait until it stops." Her mother said.

" I will go in my car only so I won't get drenched." He wanted to leave as he  doesn't know how many lies he had to say if he stays more.

" Please stay beta." Her mom insisted.

" But....." He was cut off by Anu.

" Will you stop arguing and stay for some time?" She asked annoyed for what she doesn't know but she wants him to stay.

" Okay." He shrugged and sat down.

Anu looked at him shocked as he didn't argue with her and just listened to her as if he waited for her to ask him to stay.

Her mom smiled at them and went to the kitchen to prepare for dinner.

Siddharth got some calls and he was busy talking on phone while Anu switched on the T.V as she was feeling bored.

After sometime he also joined her and watched a movie with her. They were sitting beside each other and watching a movie together just like old times. Without realising, Anu leaned her head on his shoulder making him surprise.

As an instinct, he wrapped his arm around her shoulder making her comfortable which made her smile.

It wasn't awkward or anything, it was like it was meant to be.

She didn't forget the flashes she saw in the rain, she didn't forget the familiarity of his touch when she was in his arms, she didn't ignore the nervousness she saw in him when she was asking him questions, she didn't ignore how her mother was so comfortable with a stranger in their house, she didn't ignore her mother's behaviour with Siddharth as if he is  like a family member.

She didn't ignored anything, she noticed each and everything which only proved her theory that Siddharth was a part of her past and Siddharth might be the one she always dreams about.

With all these thoughts running in her mind, she doesn't know when she had fallen asleep. When Siddharth saw her sleeping, he ran his hand in her hair kissing her forehead.

Anu's mother who came there to call them for dinner stopped in her tracks looking at the scene which warmed her heart and tears formed in her eyes. She saw them like this after months and she wants them to be like this forever. She cannot bear any one of them getting hurt in all this process. They had beared a lot and she just wants them to be together and happy.......that's all.

Siddharth carried her to her bedroom and made her sleep on her bed. This is the first time he came to this room and looked around but it was nothing like he saw in the past. He sighed sadly and sat beside her. He just stared at her for sometime till he felt content and kissed her forehead muttering 'I love you' before leaving.
