We arrived at the airport, to go our separate ways.
"Well, I guess this is it..." I thought.

"Let's see Serena off first." Clemont said, snapping me back to reality.
"Now let's get your boarding pass!" He added.

Soon after Serena got her plane ticket, we all took out our Pokémon so they could all say goodbye.
"Braixen braix..."
"Pan chum chum!"
"Chespin Ches!"
"Syl, sylveon..."
"Noi!"
"Haw, hawlucha!"
"Lux, LUXRAY!"
They all said a tearful goodbye, as we walked to the escalator to say bye to Serena.
"Ash, Clemont, Bonnie...You've all given me so much, I can't even say!" She started.
"Pika!" The electric mouse agreed.
"We'll be sure to visit you sometime!" Bonnie added, tears forming in her eyes.
"Mm Hm...!" Serena said, looking back to the lemon haired little girl.
"Ash, thank you...I'm glad I came with you...you're the kind of person, I wanna be!" Serena said to me, with that cheery smile of hers, holding her shirt.
"Huh?" I said in shock. I honestly didn't really know what she meant by that.
"Next time we meet, you're gonna like the kind of person I've grown into!" She added, winking.
At that point, I was kinda speechless, and still shocked.
"Awesome!" I said, pumping my fist. I know, not the best response. But at least I managed to get something out.
"Uh, see you!" Serena said, looking sad, as she walked into the escalator.
I walked closer, to see her leave, and wave back one last time.
"Hey Ash, there's just one more thing!" Serena said, running back up the escalator towards me.
"Huh?" I questioned. I didn't know what she meant. She leaned closer to me, and kissed me, right on the lips. Time stopped. Right at that moment she kissed me. The kiss lasted for nearly 2 seconds. I looked at her, surprised as ever. I never thought...I never thought she'd do that to me...!
However, I was still clueless. I smiled back at her, to let her see that I was ok. She got further and further.
"Thank you!!!" She yelled to me, blushing hard, and a smile so big. Her cerulean eyes glimmering as she looked at me. It took me a moment to figure out what had just happened.
"C'ya Serena! Bye bye!!!!" I yelled at her, and waved. She waved back, still smiling at me.
I was sad she left, but I knew she had to accomplish her dream, as I do too.
"I'll see you again. I know it. I promise." I thought, as I smiled.

I watched Serena's plane take off.
"Serena's really strong, so she'll be fine. And she'll get a lot stronger in Hoenn!" I said to Clemont and Bonnie, but not looking at them, looking at Serena's plane getting smaller and smaller.
"Does...Serena...does Serena like me? Have I never noticed it?" I thought, just to myself. "I'm not THAT dense...am I?"

"Hey Ash? There's still some time left before your flight." Clemont pointed out.
"Yeah. What should we do?" I asked, looking back at them.
"Ash? I have a favour. Something I really want to do!" Clemont said, as he looked at the battle field. I knew what he wanted. So we stepped on the battlefield, opposite sides from each other. I pulled down my hat, and Clemont poked his glasses up.
"If you don't mind, I'd like to have one last battle before you leave!"
"Alright then! Pikachu, you're up!" I commanded to my electric mouse.
"PIKA!" It shouted, cheeks full of electricity.
"Pikachu, eh? Alright then, come on out, BUNNELBY!"
"Alright! I'll be the referee!" Bonnie said, heading to the side of the battlefield.
"Battle, BEGIN!"
Clemont and I battled, until a loud speaker interrupted us.
"Flight to Kanto, now boarding. Ticket holders who have not yet boarded, please enter the plane at once." The loud speaker said.

We headed inside, to the escalator so I could get on my plane.
"Well, looks like it's time..." I said, feeling tears rise up to my eyes.
"Yeah, our journey went by so fast!" Clemont said, tears one by one rolling down his face.
"I'm really gonna miss you Ash!" Bonnie told me, her eyes puffy from crying, as she ran up to me and gave me a hug.
"I'll miss you too Bonnie. One day, I know you'll be an awesome Pokémon trainer!" I told the little girl, tears now flowing down my face, as I nodded.
"Yeah! And then we'll have a battle!" She told me, trying to smile away the tears.
"And Clemont? Don't give up on your dream. Be an awesome inventor, and keep making Pokémon happy!"
"Thank you Ash, as goes for you! Keep being a Pokémon master, and be the very best!"
"Well, I have to go now..." I said, sad that my Kalos journey was ending. We were all crying and sad. I got into the escalator, and waved bye.
"One last thing...Don't give up till it's over!" I added, as I left my friends, and onto the plane.

On the plane, I kept thinking about Serena. About why she kissed me, and the hints she gave me on our journey. I never noticed them. I didn't know! No wonder Bonnie kept telling me I was dense...however, I was still confused. "Serena is the greatest friend..." Wait-what did I just say?! Whatever. Friend... Friend...that word echoed deep in my head until I fell asleep...

Friends...

Soon, the plane ride ended. I was almost home! I ran and ran out of the airport.

"We're finally in Pallet Town!" I told Pikachu.
"Pika!"
I ran home as fast as I could.

"Finally here..." I thought. I opened the door.
"Mom! I'm home!"
"Pika!"

And that's the last day I saw them...

Hello fellow (probably) amourshipperz!!! It's ÿë author. This is just a prologue of the show. You know...since the last time they saw each other? They real story starts in the next chapter. Just thought I'd remind you guys of the (second) last episode of XYZ... You know... Second last cause the actual last episode is the Legend of XYZ...
