Steve always had a distaste for his birthday because of the things that happened in his life but it doesn't seem to stop Herobrine or James for trying to make Steve a happy and relaxing day even though his birthday was a couple months away but they couldn't wait till then so they made it a surprise for Steve but Herobrine waited until after training and for Steve to be asleep to plan it "alright Steve just fell asleep two minutes ago" Herobrine said and James nods "so what happened in the cave you said there was an explosion..." James wanted to see what he can do after the events "yes but it wasn't the creeper... it was tnt... though that creeper got pretty spooked..." Herobrine said after there was a sense of unease in the silence "that's good and things have been stressful but your keeping Steve from panicking" James says before looking up at the sky "yeah... things have been... though can't wait to see how Steve reacts to seeing his creeper friend again..." Herobrine says though he felt like he was feeling clingy or disliked not having Steve's attention "jealous?" James said with a expression that he was going to tease Herobrine because "I guess? Still not fully sure of some human emotions still... and don't even try James... you will only get your ass handed to you..." Herobrine huffed "geez can't even tease ya huh?" James says as he rolls his eyes "and what would be the point of teasing me...?" Herobrine said looking at James who gives a smile "some people tease others for the reaction... but there are some to take teasing to far and make the jokes really personal..." James says soon noticing the time "bullies I believe is the term used right...?" Herobrine asks though he get a nod in response "time to log off for ya?" Herobrine says and James nods and waves "we'll continue planning later but for now let's not get Steve suspicious of our chat" James replies and Herobrine nods "yeah because we want to surprise him" Herobrine says then James logs off for the night.

Herobrine sighs and walks in to see Steve sleeping with the occasional soft snore but he didn't but since he didn't need to sleep and didn't want Steve to get hurt like what happened in the cave Herobrine stayed and guarded Steve who was sleeping peacefully "I won't let those hunters hurt you again..." Herobrine whispers and looks outside "hopefully we can get this planned out James so we can both see Stevie's reaction and to see the sparkle return to his eyes..." Herobrine says but made sure he was out of ear shot for talking about the plan to surprise Steve and make him happy which made Herobrine smile just thinking about it but when Herobrine noticed Steve twitch in his sleep he walks over and lays down to cuddle and comfort Steve but still kept a look out for suspicious activity and when he noticed something off he would check it out not taking any chances and the mere thought of Steve being hurt made him angry and upset but Steve's sleeping form snuggle into him causing Herobrine to blush and give a soft chuckle "explain why you keep acting cute even though you dislike it" Herobrine whispered in a teasing manner that got Steve to whine in his sleep causing Herobrine to softly chuckle once more and kiss Steve's forehead "love you Stevie..." Herobrine whispers and Steve's face had light red dust his cheeks after that which Herobrine smiles because of it "sweet dreams..." Herobrine whispers then went back to guarding Steve all night.
