Prologue

Alice

If my life was a movie, the story would end after what happened when I got in the car. I would realise how stupid I'd been and how ridiculous the situation was that I'd put myself in, and I would have stopped it right there. I would have gotten on with my life, and I'd have thought twice about every stupid situation I was faced with after that, unwilling to make the same mistake twice. Sadly, this was the first of many bad decisions, and this was not the end of my story, it was the very beginning.
