These are just some spoken word poetry I wrote when I was stressed for finals.

Phrases are Formed From Letters and Words

Letters on a paper can hurt more than the words they're not supposed to form but do,
Letters on a paper can kill you,
Didn't everyone say words can't hurt you,
Unless you've been beaten by a dictionary, this phrase is supposedly true.

A Game of Scrabble

Letters form and rearrange in your mind like tiles,
All of these miles ahead of your current mental capacity,
You're told to trade away your creativity for a high dosage of tenacity.

Hivemind

Firing pins go off in offense of your choices for life,
Tongues like knives and behind your back high fives,
Your own conscience likes to feed on your stressed hivemind.

Carnival High

Flying colours and jersey tops mark up your own insecurities with the power of insanity,
Emotional clarity is not a certainty just as mental stability is not a given in this carnival,
You are not the ring leader of your palace you have been shut down by "stupidity".
