(The story starts in a live-action sequence, with a logo appearing as it pops up in the center of the screen.)

Chorus: 🎵 Wild Kratts! 🎵

(The logo disappears and it shows the Earth in outer space. The planet spins as an area in New York gets highlighted.)

Martin Kratt: (Voice-over) We're here on the continent of North America on the East Coast of the United States.

Chris Kratt: (Voice-over) In the famous city of New York.

(The scene goes to real life, and it shows the interior of a museum. Two men greet us.)

Martin: Hello, it's us, the Kratt Brothers! I'm Martin.

Chris: And I'm Chris.

Martin: And today, we are in the American Museum of Natural History. Here, you can find a lot of cool things, including creatures. And, we're looking at... 

(The camera pulls back to reveal...)

Both: Dinosaurs!

(We see various shots of dinosaur skeletons, fossils and exhibits on display. We go back to the brothers.) 

Martin: Here are the exhibits of these specimens.

Chris: Dinosaurs were animals that once lived on earth an extremely long time ago in the Mesozoic Era, also known as the Age of Dinosaurs, about 165 million years ago until their extinction. The Mesozoic Era had three time periods, such as Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous.

Martin: Dinosaurs come in different features, and shapes and sizes, from big to even small. Like the Velociraptor. A small dinosaur species with feathers on its body and once lived in Asia during the Late Cretaceous time period.

Voice: Hang on, Kratt Brothers.

(Martin and Chris turn to the source and see a young man approaching them.)

Martin: Oh, it's our friend, Sirius.

Chris: Hey, Sirius, how's it going?

Sirius: It's been going good, guys. Anyway, I can't help but overhear your little conversation about the dinosaurs and Prehistoric creatures that once lived on Earth.

Chris: Yeah, we're teaching the audience about these things.

Sirius: I see. Well, boys, I happen to have something to show you. Follow me.

(The brothers follow Sirius.)

Martin: Some dinos have long necks capable of reaching trees, like the apatosaurus, and the brachiosaurus.

Chris: Some dinos eat plants, some eat meat, and others eat both, which make them omnivorous.

Sirius: You see, Kratt Brothers, the dinosaurs are real on the planets that me and my family and our company have been protecting for many years.

(This amazes the brothers.)

Sirius: We didn't want to reveal the dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures that were alive on the planets. I feel that Earth isn't ready to reintroduce or accept prehistoric or former extinct animals back to Earth's ecosystem just yet.

Martin: That seems logical.

Sirius: (nodding) Yeah. Which is why until then, the creatures on these planets must be kept secret from the public at all costs. I'm sure you guys will keep it secret, right?

(Martin and Chris look at each other in thought for a second before they nod.)

Martin: Certainly.

Chris: It's safe with us.

Sirius: (smiles) Good to hear. (darts his eyes from side to side repeatedly with caution) You'll never know who could be around you and listening to what you're saying. It could bring in... (narrows his eye) the wrong kind of attention.

(The brothers shudder at the thought.)

Chris: I agree.

Martin: Yeah.

Chris: The dinosaurs on Earth may be extinct, but imagine if there are few to some still alive out in the world that we have yet to see.

Martin: Imagine if we can explore the dinosaurs' world, see their dinosaur powers in action and if we have such powers.

(They jump and strike a pose)

Martin and Chris: What if?

(A pillar of cartoonish, bright blue light develops underneath the Kratt Brothers, and they, along with the world around them, transitions from a reality segment to a cartoon version of it. Smiling, the Brothers look at each other and run off, with Chris running toward the camera, and the screen fades to black.)

(Now, the opening theme song to Wild Kratts play.)
