The next day I got up and stretched, cold air banged against my face. I looked out the window and saw that snow was sticking. That way I knew I had to go tomorrow. I got a fluffy coat on and pants, as I walked out of the room I saw my mom cooking the two rabbits that I killed yesterday. I grabbed my bow and arrows then sat down. She came over and handed me a plate.

"So are you leaving tomorrow?" My mom ask then took a bite of the rabbit. I put my bow next to me and took a quick bite.

"I have to leave, it's winter now. Don't worry, I'll bring home some deer for you every few weeks so you won't go hungry." I said then quickly finished my food.

"I think I can manage, the town is not that far from here." She grabbed my plate and took it to the sink. I got my bow then step outside. Calm snow flowed down to earth, then stuck to the ground. I took an arrow from the slot on my back and clicked it against the string.

I walked into the forest and walked down to the lake, of course it was frozen. I looked around with an eagle eye, but I could see nor hear nothing. Silent as stars. Sighing, I turned around and there it was, huge and brown. Sharp teeth and small round ears. It's paws huge and long claws.

My heart pounded out of my chest, it was a bear. I stretched out my bow and aimed at the heart, but missed. the arrow tore inside its shoulder. It roared and stood on two feet, I fell back and crawled backwards. Finally it went back on four paws and ran towards me. I had nothing else to do but scream.

Suddenly, out of no where, a huge black wolf jumped over me and hooked his claws and teeth into the bears chest. Then more wolves started running out of the forest and onto the bear. Theses wolves were unnatural, much larger. Soon the bear was covered with wolves, fighting to get free. Just then, it collapsed to the ground, the wolves jumped off it and looked at me. It was strange, it didn't show any anger towards me. They did slight noises to each other, they were talking to each other. A white wolf howled then the other wolves dragged a dead deer towards my feet, they glanced at me then the pack padded away.

My heart was still pounding, I jumped up and looked over the buck. The throat was covered with blood, I grabbed the bucks chest, it's was fresh, I putted it up, tied it's feet, then ran back towards the cabin and didn't say anything to my mother about it.
