-~-A Year After The Incident ~-~

(Y/n) P.O.V

I walked down Altadena Drive with my head down and my hands in my jean pockets. I sighed gently. It was getting late. People were heading home either sober, tipsy, or down right wasted. I walked passed ally ways. I hummed a gentle tune, one that my mother would always hum to me to calm me down. I had my hoodie's hood up, covering my face.

I looked up, the stars that dotted the Los Angeles skies were gone. In their place, large and dark storm clouds covered them. I felt a shiver down my spine. I walked under a store awning and sat down, my back against the wall. I hugged my knees to my chest.

There was a distant cry of thunder. I let out a quiet whimper. It started to rain. It was soft pellets but then as time began to pass, the started to pelt down. Thunder roared above me and the wind picked up. I saw people, families, or couples running for their cars or under awnings and to their apartment building.

More thunder boomed and I flinched. I had been scared of thunder since I was 8. "Why?" you may ask. Well, my father always told me scary stories or watched scary movies that took place in storms.

I let out a shaky breath. I buried my face into my knees and felt myself tremble gently.

~-~ Hours Later -~-

I opened my eyes and let out another whimper as a loud clap of thunder boomed overhead. My body started to tremble. I clamped my eyes shut again.

"Excuse me ma'am, are you alright?" A deep, but comforting voice asked.

I looked up, staring at the mans face. I found myself staring for a while. My face flushed and I looked down. I stayed silent before shaking my head. I slowly found myself starting to cry softly, my (H/l) (H/c) falling into my face. My shoulders jerked with each quiet sob.

"Hey, hey, it's ok." The man crouched down and placed his hand on my shoulder. "You look like you could use some help. Why not come home with me, we can get you a shower and some food. You look like your struggling you can stay with me and my house mates for a bit. Sound good?" He asked as he stood back up.

I looked up at him, tears still fell. I wiped my eyes and face. "I couldn't, I don't want to bother you or your house mates." I shook my head, looking back down with a sniff.

"Well, you certainly won't be a bother, and you need shelter form this storm. I heard it's a big one." He looks down at me and offered his hand.

I stared up at him, glancing at his hand. I hesitantly lifted mine and placed it in his. I stared at him as he pulled me up, causing me to drift a little too close for comfort. My face flushed red and I looked down, taking a step back. I heard a low chuckle rumble through his chest.

"Cmon." He said, taking my hand once again. "Let's go." He started off slowly towards a black Mustang and opened the passenger door, allowing me to get in. He shut my door as I buckled my seat belt. He then got in the drivers seat and put the car in reverse before backing out and starting on the short ride to his house.

A/N: Hey guys!! Sorry I died for a while there. I got caught up with moving boxes and then school starting! I also haven't known what to right, but I'm taking a righting class so we're writing a scary story for it for Halloween and I also recently got into Diabolik Lovers, so I got a couple ideas for books. But I will write every Saturday and Sunday!!

Hope you all enjoy this book, have a good day/night!
