Shadowclaw

Shadow was in the library. He felt like he read every single scroll about animuses but he still couldn't find the answer.

It was getting dark outside. Just this one scroll, he thought. Shadow couldn't understand it. He would follow Sloth everywhere even when she would hate him. And she hated him.

So why didn't I come with them? His brain hurt from all the secrets. "Shadow the library closes now. You should go to bed", Starflight said.

"But I can't!" Not until I found the reason for this. Shadow didn't had a lot of crushes when he was younger.

He could read the thoughts of every dragon so it wasn't easy. No dragon could hide his thoughts from him. He could break every silly wall they build in their heads could see every little thought.

He also broke Sloth's wall easily. But what he found behind it wasn't the shy dragonet she used
to be. No it was a smart Sloth that had her own thoughts and didn't like everything and everyone. A Sloth that could be a leader.

It wasn't the shy skin he fell in love with it was the dragon he found under it. A dragon that broke slowly through the skin.

And than he did something stupid. Not the thing when he spoke about her. He did this because he had to. No one would ever believe her before. But he didn't come with her.

So why have I done this? My head is empty when I think about this moment. "Shadow?", Starflight asked again. "Are you ok?"

He nodded but than he remembered that Starfligh was blind. "Yes, I just searched for something", he lied. "You can come tomorrow again when I can help you", the Nightwing repeated.

"Yes", Shadow said. At the door to the library a Sandwing waited for him. "Hunter? What are you doing here?", he whispered. "What does it looks like? I waited for you!", Hunter snapped.

"Oh. We are friends? This is new for me", Shadow answered. The Sandwing didn't reply. He also had a wall but Hunter didn't need it. Listening to his thoughts made Shadow headaches.

After they walked a while Hunter pinned him to the ground. "What did you read in my mind?", he hissed. So this is it about. "Not much. Your thoughts make me headaches", Shadow replied.

Can I trust him? Of course not! Doe he know about my brother? Mother would kill me and does he knew about...silent! You can't think like this and Dawnbringer I have to stop her but mother wouldn't want me to do it...

It was like a storm of thoughts. "Anyway can you get of now?", he asked. Hunter didn't move but narrowed his eyes. "What do you want to do now?", he said slowly.

I'm sure he has a plan. He would never let her go...why didn't I come with them? Mother wouldn't like it...Snake wouldn't do it as well and father...

"What do you mean? What could I do against Dawn?", Shadow asked and sighed. "Don't play stupid! You would never let Sloth go without you!", Hunter snapped.

So he knows it like most of the others. He is right I would never leave Sloth alone. He remembered the time Dawn got the control over her body and how she didn't remember him. It was awful. But she kinda did remember him right?

Hunter is right...I'm going to do something thought I don't know what at the moment. I'm going to help Sloth. "Why are you so interested? You didn't go with them as well", Shadow reminded him.

The Sandwing hissed quietly but didn't answer. "You know I can read everything in your thoughts when I want to!", Shadow said.

I can't tell him. Snake would think how weak I'm. Mother and father would as well. I can't. Shadow didn't listen anymore. He didn't want to know it anyway. Now he has a new idea to find out who this dragon was.

When he was younger he found out that everyone had one memory that made them to who they are. In his mothers mind he could see a big Skywing yelling at her that she shouldn't sleep and that she was just a lazy Rainwing.

In Sloth's mind he found the memory of a little dragon maybe at the age of 1 playing with other dragonets. And than they spoke about their parents. "My mother is the best! She always gets me my favorite fruit!", One of them said.

"My mommy is the best! She and my daddy alway let me have a very long suntime", a pink Rainwing squeaked. "Do you all have...a family?", Sloth asked quietly.

"Of course", the pink dragon answered, "you not?" Little Sloth shook her head. "Well she's very weird. I wouldn't want her as well!", a girl shouted. "My parents want me!", Sloth replied.

"Why aren't they here than?", the girl asked. Sloth wings dropped. Shadow mostly saw bad things in this memories but he never thought that someone could leave a little dragon that was as sweet as Sloth alone in the rainforest.

And I was stupid enough to do the same thing. It feels like we don't even have any chance. Like when Dawnbringer is playing with us a stupid game. With us as the game figures.

"So? Do you want to follow them?", Hunter asked again. "Shut up I had a idea!", Shadow hissed quietly.

Can it be that Dawn is doing this with us? We can't speak about her when others are in the near and I couldn't go with Sloth...is a system behind this?

Or was it just my big ego? I guess that's it. I'm getting paranoid.

"So what's it?", Hunter snapped. "Do you ever asked if Dawn may did something with us?", he asked after a while.

The Sandwing shook his head. "You mean something we can't remember because she manipulated us?", he asked back. "Yes...but. This is impossible! I never heard about a dragon doing this...", Shadow thought loud.

He is right this is stupid stupid stupid! At least Thunder wasn't there...mother wouldn't be impressed! I have to figure it out!

And I need to find Sloth... who knows what could happen to her! Hunter is right! Why are I even standing here! I need to go before she gets in any danger! I wished I would be an animus dragon.

"You're right. I'm going. Now", Shadow said suddenly. "Now? In the middle of the night?", Hunter asked but he couldn't stop the hybrid. "I'm not tiered!", he answered.

Not when it's about Sloth... "Well I think this is a silly idea but I'm going with you anyway!", Hunter snapped. Need to stop her...for him! But Snake is dead. Mother is dead. Father is dead...

"But I thought you don't want to follow a amazing Rainwing", Shadow remembered him. Ow. Did I say AMAZING? "I'm NOT following ANYONE but myself!", he hissed.

Shadowclaw just nodded. "Well let's go than. Or should we take Thunder with us?", he asked. Now Hunters thought were so troubled that the only word he could get from them were. Mother. Snake. Thunder. Ruin the family.

"No!", he hissed finally. "I thought we want to fly now!" Aha..I interesting. Shadow just realized that they walked to the entrance hall. "Come on", he said. Sloth hold on...I'm coming.
