Appearance: sushi is a small Seawing with jade eyes with sky blue flecks. He is bluish green with Seafoam stripes. He wears a spectrum earring with a pearl on it

Cool! A simple, but descriptive appearance. The earring is cool, but I'd like to know a bit more about his looks. Like, body shape. Is he skinny, muscular, chubby, etc?

Personality: nervous, jumpy, friendly, shy, gentle, cowardly,indecisive, very passionate about shell collecting, once he makes a decision he tries to stand by it, strongly follows his beliefs

Hmm. "Friendly" doesn't really fit in with the rest of this. I'd add a few more flaws, too, but otherwise this is good. This is alright, there's nothing really special about him, but he isn't too cliche, either.

Backstory: Sushi was born into the royal family with an instant distaste for it. His mother controlled his every move and most dragonets didn't care for his company due to his snobby siblings and father. One time Sushi did manage to make friends with a Sea-Icewing but after Oyster found her the hybrid was quickly killed off. Again, Sushi managed to make friends with a Seawing with cursed scales; she was tested on and now is a mindless solider with the only emotion of distrust for Sushi. Sushi felt abandoned and ran away, but was found by his older brother before he could even exit the kingdom. One day while Sushi was fiddling around he wished for the prettiest shell in the sea. To his surprise a small dark green shell zoomed into his talons. This was how he discovered his animus powers. He started using them for small thing until King Slug found him one day and made him enchant an earring that made Oyster fall in love with him again after he found out she had plans of murdering him. Unluckily for him Oyster overheard and k!lled Slug right there and then. Sushi was horrified, but Oyster encouraged him to enchant jewelry and weapons for her until one failed enchantment led to the death of Princess Beluga. Oyster stopped constantly using Sushi, but still often approaches him in his cell he was locked up in. "One night though Princess Tuna snuck up and told him that if he helped her gain the crown she would bust him out and he wouldn't ever have to use his powers again. Tuna had read about Darkstalker and Albatross and hence knew the extent of Sushi's power. Sushi enchanted Tuna a spear that would cut through Oyster's scales that Sushi has enchanted to keep almost anything from piercing them. Tuna took the spear and managed to k!ll Oyster. She was crowned Queen and banned Sushi's animus powers unless the situation was dire. Sushi managed to even marry another Seawing named Anchor- despite him being a commoner Tuna had allowed the marriage for she wanted to be nothing like her tyrant mother.

Nice! The whole corrupt-SeaWing-family thing is a bit familiar, but still good. I think being forced to use his animus powers by his mother would effect him more, maybe? Like, it usually causes them to grow cold and distant, so I might add that to his personality. But otherwise, I like this, he's not bad.

Overall

I'd say 8/10. His personality could use a bit of work, and you should be more descriptive about his appearance, but mostly he's ok. Maybe make his animus powers affect his personality a bit more.
