The whole Jade Winglet was on a field trip. They all were visiting Queen Ruby' s palace. There, they would break up into teams of two. (There is no Mudwing in the group anymore). Group A was Quibli and Kinkajou. Group B was Winter and Moonwatcher. And lastly, Group C was Turtle and Carnelian. Everyone landed on the balcony into the throne room. Queen Ruby came out and greeted them, along with her son Prince Cliff trailing behind her. Carnelian was the first to bow to her queen, the others trailed after her. Then Peril, who offered to chaperone them, was the last. Ruby and Peril shared a long stare, as if words were being passed between them, then Ruby spoke.

"Welcome dragonets to my castle. As part of your trip I have set up a scavenger hunt for all of you. You'll pair up and receive your scroll. Who ever finishes first gets a prize." She spoke sweetly. Everyone broke up into their assigned groups. A servant handed out the scrolls to each group. "Peril. You and I can catch up." Ruby smiled as did Peril. The dragonets took off. Turtle was looking at the scroll when Carnelian spoke.

"Just enchant something to find the stuff for us." She said a little annoyed. Turtle rolled his eyes.

"I can't just use my magic like that. Plus, you live here! You should know where all these are!" He said shoving the scroll in her face. Carnelian looked over the scroll. Turtle was right next to her, so close that their wings were touching. Carnelian blushed but spoke anyways.

"Fine. The red diamond is in the treasury room. The Blue feather is in the dragonet center. And the rest are on the first floor." She said like he should've know this.

"Well let's go." Turtle started off, almost bumping into the queen. Carnelian eyes widened.

"I'm so sorry your majesty!" She blurted, but Ruby just laughed.

"No need to loyal warrior." Carnelian stood taller. She walked past Ruby then rushed off after Turtle.

Turtle was standing by the treasury when Carnelian reached him. A guard stood there, completely uninterested by the dragonets. He had the diamonds in his talons. Carnelian plucked one from his talons then took off with Turtle behind him to the dragonet center. One by one the two collected the items. Then they came to he Queen' s private garden where they were to find the red ruby flower. The last item they needed. Carnelian steppe into the garden, completely amazed at the beauty. Turtle also literature view until the the wind blew making pink petals fall from the trees. Turtle smirked and made a little magic happen. Enchanting only a talon full of petals he had them circle around Carnelian. The skywing noticed the petals actions. She turned to see Turtle standing in front of her. Carnelian felt completely defenseless as to what happened next. Turtle lowered his snout to her' s. Carnelian froze. Then she acted. She moved closer to him. He pulled away from her. He looked to his left and picked the flower they needed.

"Lets head back." He said. Carnelian nodded, completely speechless. The two headed back to the throne room where Ruby stood with Peril. They entered and the Queen' s attention moved to them.

"Congratulations. You two did very well. Your prize is waiting for you back at the academy." Ruby smiled. "Now if you excuse me I must go to a meeting. I'll be back to see you all off." She said to Peril.

"I'm going to go see how everyone is doing. You two stay here." Peril stated then walked out, her talon steps fading. Carnelian moved to the balcony. Turtle followed. Carnelian looked over the massive kingdom. Turtle laid his wing over her.

"You know, I don't care about our prize. I got what I wanted." He gently squeezed her with his wing. The two watched the dragons fly about.
