Even though I will NEVER watch Deadpool 2, I decided to use this song because it is BEAUTIFUL AND SAD. Just like Darkstalker.

Darkstalker's whole world has fallen apart since he was buried underneath that mountain. All of his friends, his frenemies, and especially his beloved Clearsight, are gone. I imagine him singing this song to himself as he  wanders the abandoned streets of the old Night Kingdom, trying to find anything in his old home that reminds him of when things were better. He strikes me as the overdramatic, wordy type, who would say something like "can beauty come out of ashes?"

The real question is, can it?
