"fancy seeing you here, doll." Jaemin greeted with a wide grin as he entered the classroom while fixing his once neat hair that was now ruined thanks to something named, Wind.

He pushes pass through the crowded area in their Math classroom with some grumbling when he was having a struggle while doing so.

Most of his classmates were surrounding some dude playing game boy or whatever, before he reaches at a specific seat.

"It's you!" The blue haired boy gasps who was sitting at the second chair by the wall, away from the heated sunlight that could practically burn his eyes out more than holy water.

Humming, Jaemin glances at the empty seat beside the blue haired boy and raised a brow. "May I take a seat beside you?" He asked politely.

He mentally grins when the boy giggled and nodded at him with a small hand gesture, giving him permission to sit that close beside him.

See that Taeyong and other bitches? He can be nice and stuff too.

Without further a do, Jaemin drops his backpack on the ground beside their joined-shared table as he leans his back against his chair with a sigh.

"We have the same class!" His seatmate chirped once they settled themselves and saw how much extra time they actually have with no supervisor around or anything.

Jaemin took a mental note that he'd give a well deserved smack at one of their friends in their small group for disturbing his rest. He stayed up all night finishing his homework.

He was about to think who'd be the sacrificial lamb in their friend group until his seatmate once again spoke up.

"But why haven't I seen you here before? Especially on my first day?" He asked and blinks once with his eyes wide open filled with curiosity and such.

Jaemin hums with a sloppy smile aiming towards the curious boy who's supposed to be... Mischievous and devious like his own kind, especially like his father.

"Well, dear." He purred with his voice low, low enough to make Jeno think he was trying to whisper. When that's just partially true.

"I was in trouble on my first day, and I had things to do as well, didn't help when we also didn't cross paths whatsoever. Sadly couldn't meet you sooner hm?" He said as he now faced the blue haired boy who listened closely.

He turned his body to the side, his left leg chilling with his ankle resting on his right knee, his elbow also resting itself on his wooden chair.

Jeno nodded with a small pout, lower lip jutted out as his eyes frowned along, "it would've been nice." He mumbled sadly.

Jaemin felt bad and weirdly enough, guilt rising up to his stomach.

The sight of Jeno frowning and all like, quite literally, a kicked puppy, made him feel like he had just ruined something.

"Hey that's okay, dear. We can start hanging out more starting right now, if you want to." He coaxed, hoping to bring the beaming boy back.

His hopes rose up even more when Jeno peered through his long lashes, his eyes glinted with the same hope as Jaemin's. Maybe more.

"Really?" Jeno added with a small gasp that made Jaemin cough slightly.

"Well, yeah. Of course." Jaemin chuckled along as he tried to lift up the mood.

It would've been very much better if it weren't for the location they were at. Dusty and crowdy Math classroom, students surrounding a gamer boy, said people chattering loudly, and etcetera.

"Maybe if I score a date, hopefully so, I could make it up."

Don't get Jaemin wrong, he might look mischievous himself and all. Very playful personality to the point he does look like a player.

But this, he knows it's literally been a few hours since the night he was dragged away by Taeyong's annoying shit, interrupting him and Jeno's conversation, it feels... Different.

Somehow, he just has the sudden urge and promise to himself that he would keep Jeno for being... Jeno. Protection, I suppose.

He doesn't want to see that same, or an even worse frown on Jeno's face. He likes him smiling and all like he had just answered all the questions in the blue haired boy's curious little brain.

He knows they could easily be in trouble, like they're fighting against society.

He knows it's been a few hours and he really shouldn't think or feel this much extent about Lee Jeno.

But he can't help it.

He might just wait or something before he actually does something. He might have to figure himself out first, know if what he's thinking is actually what he's dreaming.

For now, he just has to keep going and see if Jeno will also potentially develop atleast something.

"Can we please eat lunch together later? My friend, Fred, will be joining us." Jeno asked with his fingers fumbling on the sign pen he was gripping onto.

Jaemin grins at the invite, but inwardly rolls his eyes when this Fred dude is mentioned to join them, interrupt his time with demon boy.

He nodded as he ran his fingers through his hair that made Jeno look at with a small pink tint on his soft cheeks. "Yes of course, dear." He replied.

The nickname made Jeno feel that thing again in his tummy.

"Sounds like he was flirting."

Is that was Haechan meant about his first encounter with Jaemin last night? Flirting? Is this what flirting is?

Well he's not complaining when it makes his tummy feel giddy like when he first mastered a difficult spell and received non-stop praises from his friends and father.

He should share this to Haechan. Maybe he can help and give what insights he has in mind.

"That's great! Fred sadly doesn't have Math class with me, we only have English and Biology together." He stated.

Jaemin hums in acknowledgement, taking small notes of his own with slight difficulty. Can these motherfuckers behind him shut the hell up? Someone actually call the teacher for once.

However, he is curious about Fred though.
