"Just follow my movements," the Canadian says, bending his legs slightly and pushing himself forward with one foot and then the next, slowly as to demonstrate to Eric. Eric clings onto the gates circling around the edge of the rink, just about giving up on trying.

He stares skeptically at Tanner, a frown on his face at the thought of falling on his face and getting embarrassed at his failed attempt to do something that he makes seem so easy. "Help me," he says simply, holding out a hand and grabbing onto Tanner's jacket.

The taller of the two chuckles, glad that Eric is willing to at least try to cooperate.

Although they've only been dating for about five months, they both feel a connection greater than past relationships, as if this one would actually last. Tanner's longest relationship was two years long, in high school. His partner, a girl named Ivy, no longer felt anything for him. From the start, actually, she didn't like him. She dated a popular guy – Tanner – to climb up the social ladder and make herself known.

Eric's longest relationship was three weeks, and even then the man he dated cheated on him. In only three weeks the same man told him he loved him and put words into his mouth, making him confused when the guy ran off to be with a woman, saying that Eric meant nothing to him since the beginning.

Both of the men's past relationships have gone downhill, and so they're glad that they can find comfort within each other. They're glad that they can accept themselves and they're glad that they can help each other to further gain confidence. Both are a bit anxious when the topic of sexualities come up, but they always figure it out.

Tanner with his warm actions to coax Eric into a calmness and Eric with his words to coax Tanner into his warm aura. They fit together like nothing ever will and they know it, which is why on one night, at a concert much like the one that they had met in, Tanner proposed to his boyfriend.

It had been a year of dating and they've gone through almost everything together. They were sure that what they had would last.

And it did.
