~3rd P.O.V. (As seen from Vikk and Lachlan)~

"Ugh, how much more is there to cliiiiimb..." Vikk groans, hauling himself up yet another ledge.
"I don't know but let's at least go for another ten minutes before stopping." Lachlan replies, appearing behind Vikk.

After a slow start to the day, both of the two having slept in, they begrudgingly dragged themselves up the mountain and now standing just above halfway are both panting in exhaustion. Vikk nods, clearly not enthusiastic in continuing on but determined none the less, unsteadily crawling up the steep slope.

Blinding white snow settles upon the ragged mountain peak, a light snow gently begging to float from the sky. Lachlan shivers following after Vikk as the crisp winter air causes the back of his throat to tingle. Vikk being so short constantly has to rely on Lachlan to boost him onto high ledges, paired with the thin air of high elevation results in a worn out Lachlan, his energy running out on him fast. After a few more minutes of painstaking climbing Lachlan pulls himself up on final ledge before plopping down onto the snow littered ground.

"Let's stop here for a second Vikk, maybe eat and regain a bit of strength." Lachlan huffs, pulling out the leftover polar bear from inside his hoodie.

Vikk happily agrees, turning on his heels and kneeling down beside Lachlan, receiving a handful of meat from him. Although a bit chewy the two hungrily stuff the meat into their mouths, eating the protein, fat and all. Needless to say the small amount does not last long but Lachlan restrains himself from dividing up the remaining portion, instead stuffing it back into his hoodie.

"Let's save this for now just in case anyone else needs it." Lachlan explains, pushing himself back into his feet, caught off guard by the lopsided stance he has to endure due to the mountains slope.

Lachlan skids down a bit, but Vikk lashes out and grabs onto him just in time, leaning back to balance their weight.

"Woah thanks Vikk, I'd be rekt if you hadn't caught me."
"Yeah, you'd probably become a giant rolling snowball seeing how fudging steep this mountain is." Vikk teases, letting go of Lachlan's arm. "Let's keep going. It shouldn't be to long now before we reach as high as we can manage."

Lachlan nods in agreement and the two start climbing back up the mountain, the loose snow doing no good for grip. And just as Vikk predicted, a fair amount of time later and their coming across a flat plateau near the top of the mountain. Vikk glances off the edge, becoming dizzy at the sight of trees below, looking like toothpicks from his standpoint. So he doesn't become nauseous with a general fear of falling Vikk decides to glance elsewhere. That's when a certain article of red catches his eye, standing out from the usual colours of white and brown.

"Would ya look who it is..." Lachlan beams, also catching sight of the outline of the figure, now a second figure visible through the snow.
"Mitch, Jerome!" Vikk calls, jogging over in their direction.

Lachlan tails after Vikk, the two approaching their friends at a fast pace. Mitch and Jerome whips around, smiles instantly breaking across their faces at the sight of Vikk and Lahclan trotting towards them.

"You guys made it!" Jerome exclaims joyfully, the four all joining in a group hug.
"Of course we did! Hey, have you guys seen Preston of Rob yet?" Lachlan questions, glancing around in hopes of seeing them.
Mitch shakes his head sadly, "Unfortunately not yet, but more importantly Lachlan, what on earth happened to your face?!"
"Well you see here's the thing..." Lachlan continues, shyly scratching his head, "When you try to attack a baby polar bear cub, and the mother is near by, things happen. Very. Bad. Things."
"YOU WERE ATTACKED BY A POLAR BEAR?!" Mitch and Jerome shriek in unison.
"Well Lachlan provoked it but yeah." Vikk pitches in, causing Lachlan to laugh nervously. "Now it's my turn. What happened to you Jerome?"
"Well let's see um... I got shot in the arm... Mitch fell into a river and almost drown... I bit an Enderman... Ooh and a spider bit my neck too." Jerome states casually, gaining two equally awestruck expressions from both Lachlan and Vikk.
"Jeeze, and I thought we had it bad." Lachlan chuckles, rubbing his arm.
"By the way Vikk, where did you get the coat? It looks just like Jorda- oh wait... Did you?" Mitch trails off, nodding at his jacket.

Vikk and Lachlan nod sadly, and all four have a moment of silence.

"Taylor was with him too." Lachlan adds.
"That's too bad. But now we have one last thing to do. Track down Preston and Rob." Mitch states.
"How about we split up and look around for them? It's not snowing too hard and we can get a good vantage point from up here." Jerome suggests.
"Sounds like a plan to me. I'll go with Lachlan and you two go that way." Vikk plans, nodding in the opposite direction.
"And we'll meet back here in an hour or two." Lachlan states, sealing the plan.
"Yeah that should work. Meet you guys back here soon!"
"Bye Mitch! Bye Jerome! Cya soon!"
"Bye doods!"
"Cya everyone!"

With that the group splits up again, in search for their remaining two friends. Assuming that they somehow got the message. Lachlan reminds himself, knowing the chances are slim.

After half an hour of searching with no luck Vikk and Lachlan start to have their doubts, wondering if they should just wait until tomorrow to search for Preston and Rob while the sun is still with them.

"Do you think they're gonna make it?" Vikk questions, scanning the mountain side for the blue hoodie or Rob or the black hoodie of Preston.
"Not gonna lie Vikk, I have doubts."

Vikk frowns, the gears turning in his mind as he tries to think of ways that would give them a better chance to find the whereabouts of Preston and Rob. Assuming their not dead already.

"Vikk! Vikk! Vikk!" Lachlan calls, repeatedly slapping his shoulder.
"What? What? What?"
"It's them!" Lachlan calls giddily, pointing a fair ways down the mountain.

There the two figures, obviously belonging to Preston and Rob, are every so slowly scaling the mountain. Vikk and Lachlan glance in concern seeing the lead figure, Preston, constantly backtracking to the second figure, Rob. After a few seconds Preston actually stays by his side, seemingly helping him along.

"I think Rob's hurt." Lachlan points out, squinting.
"I think that is correct. Come on, we should help them." Vikk states, leading Lachlan as the two start to descend the mountain slowly in order to reach Preston and Rob.
