~Winter Wedding~

~Plot~

       Mason Jenkins has always had a dysfunctional family, with a homophobic mother, an alcoholic father who won't stand up for his children, the golden child of a bully older brother, and the spoiled older sister who thinks she's entitled to everything. It's no surprise Mason moved out on his eighteenth birthday to move in with his best friend. 

       Mason's family made sure to stay out of his life the moment they found out he started dating his guy best friend, Daisuke Matsuki. But now, four years later, they suddenly want to come back in Mason's life once they found out Mason and Daisuke are getting married. Did they finally have a change or heart or do they have another motivation? 

       Whatever the reason is, it's certainly adding a lot more stress to Mason around the holidays, making Mason unsure if the wedding and Christmas will go as planned.

My baseball boys are back! I've been missing them a lot lately, so I've been meaning to update Charged by Battery, but I've been preoccupied with my Port Orthos series, especially the Halloween book because I want to finish it before (or on) Halloween.

But anyway, if you haven't read Charged by Battery, where these characters are from, that's totally fine! This can be read as a standalone for two reasons: 

1. This is the fourth book in the series, and all four books are just random time jumps lol. I actually started off, if I remember, with a Halloween book, which took place after the first book (and I didn't post, nor finish, the first book at that time). So if you've only read Charged by Battery, surprise! Mason and Daisuke got together. If you've read the other two books (a Halloween and winter book), then you know they got together but also surprise! They're getting married!

2. Mason and Daisuke have only been side characters in the other books. They still played a huge role, but they were side characters nonetheless. This will be the first book we actually get to dive into their personal life, especially Mason's since it will be told primarily in his POV. We might get Daisuke's once or twice depending on how the story goes but so far, I'm planning just for Mason's POV. So yes, it can be read as a standalone and you won't really need to worry about having any knowledge from the previous books.

That being said, I hope you enjoy this book! I'm so excited to write about Mason and Daisuke's relationship since I love them with all my heart <3 First chapter will come at the beginning of November (November 2nd, probably), and it will most likely be a prologue of when Mason was 18 before jumping forward to the current events of the book.
