Description: These are mini versions of the regular hippopotamus. Plump and cat-sized, with large twinkling eyes, they are often found waddling through flower beds. Though wild, they are very friendly towards humans. Populations show regional variation. As an example, the mini hippos of the Kazatron suburbs bear orange markings that those of Zilitron do not.

Found: Suburban Kadrea

Eats: Roses. In the absence of roses, they will eat almost any other type of flower. If they are pretty, and your grandmother has planted them especially, a mini hippopotamus will be happy to eat them. Grass is also acceptable.

I take issue with these creatures. Many humans fall for their wiles, much to the detriment of their feline companions. When mini hippopotamuses are present, my witch's best friend Adamantine does not give me as many pettings or treats. They are also very sneaky creatures. They are not as innocent as they look. I have been unfairly blamed for things that a mini hippopotamus has done. I am not the only one who likes buttons.
