Description: The succulus is both a plant and a beast. Standing at ten feet tall, it is fork-shaped with green spiny flesh. During the day, it is like any other cactus. At night, however, the succulus moves from shadow to shadow. You might never see it coming.

Like other plants, it absorbs sunlight and water, and obtains nutrients via the process of photosynthesis. This is no reason to classify the succulus as harmless. Those spines hurt. If you are ever in the Deadly Desert, and choose to rest beneath the arms of a giant cactus, make sure it is not a succulus first.

My witch once bought a cactus that turned out to be a baby succulus in disguise. You should have seen her face when it stepped out of its pot and walked out the door.
