"I'm in love with Amity...HOLY CRAP, I'M IN LOVE WITH AMITY!" Luz exclaimed. "WHAT DO I DO!? Do I ask her out!? WHAT IF SHE SAYS NO!? WHAT IF SHE'S NOT INTO GIRLS!? But then again, she told me she was, but what if she's not into me!? She's gorgeous compared to me! What if she finds out I'm The Witch!? Will she wanna date me then!? WHAT IF SHE GETS KIDNAPPED A GAZILLION TIMES!?" Luz began to breathe heavily, trying to force herself to calm down.

After a while, she did. "Okay...okay...I'm in love with her...big whup. I'll...wait until all of the monsters are taken down." She nodded. "Yeah! So she can't get kidnapped! But who am I kidding, she'd break free...she's strong that way~"

She then rapidly shook her head. "I hope I can still look her in the eyes after all of this. I also hope I don't accidentally kiss her...I mean, I wouldn't mind, but I don't know if she would!" She then slammed her head on her pillow. "WHY IS THIS SO HARD!?!?"

King then came over, with Otto riding on the top of his heads. "Uhhh, what's wrong?"

"I have a crush on Amity, and I have no idea what I'm gonna do about it!" She exclaimed.

"Simple!" King said. "Just don't tell her until I've judged her."

Otto nodded, agreeing with the demon pup.

Luz smiled a bit and looked up. "Until you've judged her, eh?"

"Yeah! She's basically gonna be my second mom if she likes you, so I gotta make sure she's nice to me and other people...but mostly The King of Demons."

"Believe me, she definitely will be." Luz then blushed again. "I mean...she may seem cold at first, but she just has a big heart~"

King blinked. "Wow. You really do love her."

"I KNOW." Luz said before sighing. "No one told me crushes were this hard."

"What about all those movies you watch? Wasn't it like super hard to confess?" King asked as he sat beside his mother, with Otto climbing onto Luz's shoulder.

Luz thought and then nodded. "Okay, fair." She then smiled. "But hey, I don't have to focus on that yet. What I wanna focus on right now is defeating the last few monsters. After all! They've been no sweat so far!"

King smirked. "And I apparently took out one of them."

"Still want an answer for that by the way."

"And I still don't have an answer for that by the way." King laughed.

"Was that sass?" Luz snorted.

"Noooo." King giggled.

"You little rascal!" Luz laughed, tickling King. "Speaking of which. You gotta meet Willow and Gus sometime. They ask a lot about you."

"As they should!" King said, feeling his ego grow three sizes that day.

Luz laughed before once again, her phone buzzed. She looked...and then grinned. "Looks like that day is sooner than I thought."

"Another monster?"

"Actually? All of them! Garlog, The Owl Beast, and Stoneheart!"

"THAT'S NOT A GOOD THING!!!" King exclaimed before Luz set him down.

"It'll be ok!" Luz then gently out Otto on her staff before flying off, transforming into her witch attire.

The monsters roared as they crawled through the city, with Stoneheart smashing cars and windows.

Garlog just hissed as he crawled around, looking inside homes to try and find his next meal.

And finally...well, The Owl Beast was munching on a swing.

Then, Luz came flying in, immediately tying up Stoneheart with vines.

Stoneheart roared and roared, his fangs of stone being revealed. He eventually broke free, and waved his arm at Luz, who effortlessly dodged and then landed onto the ground.

Garlog roared as he lunged at Luz, who flew into the air again and blasted Garlog in the eye with light, blinding him. Garlog roared and roared, waving his claws around as he stumbled backwards.

Luz grinned before dodging another swing from Stoneheart. "I'm really getting good at this- OOF!"

Stoneheart managed to knock her off her staff, sending her tumbling to the road. He then began to stomp over, raising his stone foot.

Luz quickly blasted fire into Stoneheart's face, not hurting him, but distracting him. She then quickly escaped, grabbing her staff and once again flying off.

"Okay! How to beat this thing." Luz said, trying to remember the lessons she taught herself from ages ago.

Then? It hit her and Luz quickly made a hundred copies of herself using illusion magic, who all then charged and blasted at Stoneheart.

Stoneheart roared, blocking his face, but this didn't at all help.

Luz then flew over to the blinded Garlog and landed on his back, tying up his neck with vines.

Garlog roared again, trying to get her off until Luz pulled on the vines, like a cowboy would pull on the reins of a horse.

"YEEHAW!" Luz exclaimed as she made Garlog charge at Stoneheart.

Stoneheart uncovered his face being tackled by Garlog. Garlog roared and began tearing off the stone that formed his body with his powerful claws.

Luz then hopped into the air, and then landed on her staff, watching Stoneheart be torn to lifeless rocks.

After a while, the deed was done and Stoneheart was no more. Garlog, now able to see properly again, turned to Luz and roared.

"Cya later!" Luz exclaimed as she combined a light and fire spell, blasting it at Garlog.

Garlog roared as he and the remains of Stoneheart became completely obliterated.

Luz then nearly fell off her staff, panting. "Okay...quick...but exhausting..."

She then flew off to find The Owl Beast now eating the whole swing set.

"I mean...it looks harmless." Luz said as she floated down and then tapped the beast with her staff.

The Owl Beast glanced at her before continuing to eat the swing set.

"Ummm..." Luz then made a small orb of light and shined it in The Owl Beast's face.

The Owl Beast hissed before passing out.

"Wow...I could've sworn the last time, it was a harder fight." Luz blinked before grabbing The Owl Beast and flying off to a random spot in the woods, where she set it down.

The Owl Beast was sleeping peacefully. Seems like the only harm it would do is to dumb hunters.

Luz smiled at the beast before flying off, raising her fist in the air. "I DID IT!!! WOO!!!!"

And as Luz flew back home, Golden Guard watched with a grin.

"The final step is about to begin." He said before taking out his crystal and contacting Belos. "My liege, everything went exactly as planned."

Belos chuckled. "Good. Very good. The details?"

"She became tired very quickly during the fight when she was using magic in insane amounts." Golden Guard smirked. "Your plan to send monster after monster after monster to tire her out and give her false hope was brilliant. And fun to watch!"

"Yes...anything else?"

"Hmmm...I believe The Witch has a weakness..."

"And that is?"

"She recently destroyed Grom to protect her friends...I believe their names are Willow Park, Augustus Porter, and Amity Blight."

"Hmmm...perhaps you may use these before we initiate the final step of the plan." Belos said. "Feel free to toy with The Witch...but when you've had your fun, you will let me know when I can finally unleash...The Day of Unity."

"Of course, my liege." Golden Guard said as he ended the call and then smirked as his cape blew in the wind. "This is gonna be fun."

A few days later, since it was now spring break? Luz decided to start the day off with a nice fly.

She felt peaceful. All the monsters in the Boiling Isles had been defeated or killed. She saved the city. That? That was something be proud of.

As Luz flew around in the air, she heard her phone buzz one more time. A text and picture from Willow.

Willow: Gus, Amity, and I are at the cafe! Wondering if you'd like to join us!

Luz: Sure! Sounds fun!

Luz then flew into the city before landing in an alleyway and transforming back to her normal attire, and then began running towards the cafe.

She kept running and running until she made it in, panting.

"Luz! Over here!" Willow smiled.

Luz held up her hand before giving a thumbs up and then walking over, sitting down. "Sorry, was I late?"

"Nope!" Gus then laughed. "Did you run here?"

"Maybe." Luz said, trying to catch her breath.

Amity's cheeks turned red and she looked to the side. 'OKAY, BLIGHT. YOU CAN DO THIS. THIS IS JUST THE FIRST TIME YOU'RE BEING WITH HER IN A WHILE...AT A CAFE...GETTING COFFEE...TOGETHER...'

"Amity?" Willow asked.

Amity shook out of her trance. "Oh! Sorry! D-Dozed off for a sec."

Luz then finally caught her breath and smiled, facing all of her friends. "So, have you guys ordered anything yet?"

"Nah, we wanted to wait til you got there." Gus said with a shrug.

"Awww!" Luz smiled. "Okay, tell ya what, I'll order it. Just write down what you want."

"W-Wow...that's so sweet of you, Luz." Amity blushed.

Luz blushed in return. "U-Umm...thanks."

Gus tilted his head. "She's...just getting coffee for all of us."

"I wanted a bagel." Willow said.

"You know what I mean."

Luz then cleared her throat before memorizing everyone's orders and then going up to the cashier.

Amity smiled before seeing a news report on The Witch, and her battle a few days ago. She narrowed her eyes. "Hey, guys? Is it just me...or does The Witch...kinda look like Luz?"

Gus and Willow froze, looking at each other with terrified eyes.

Amity watched The Witch flip into the air and fly before turning to Luz, who was impatiently tapping her foot.

"Hmmm...nah. Luz is way cuter~"

"What was that-"

"NOTHING."
