Natsu pov

Lucy and I sneaked out the cave once everyone was sleeping.  She said she needed to tell me something important and private. Juvia and Gray was snuggled up together at the mouth of the cave, sometimes I envied Gray I would never have the guts to tell Lucy what I really felt. Lucy led so that we were behind the cave, out of everyone's view. Lucy looks uncomfortable like she isn't sure what she is going to do next, I smiled at her and she cleared her throat.

"Natsu, I have something I need you to know." She paused licking her lips, I nodded for her to continue and she did.

"I l....l...like you. " I blinked. "I know you might not feel the same way but...." I sealed her mouth with mine. She seemed shocked by my move but she finally accepted and kissed me back.

"I do. I like you too." I replied as she came up for air. She chuckled a bit and leaned her forehead on mine.

Gajeel pov

Everyone was asleep, Gray and Juvia outside the cave, Natsu and Lucy behind the cave. I made my escape. I headed into the forest. It took me a while but I finally caught a glimpse of her short blue hair.

"Levy." I called out. She turned and came towards me, giving me a small kiss on my cheek. I smiled. I called her through the communication card given by Cana. I found something and thought that she will be able to help.

"Show it to me." She said. I took the paper out and handed it to her in hope she could decipher it. It found lying beside Gato, we properly knocked it out of his pocket while we were fighting him.

"This is a controlling spell." She looked at it once more, nodding as if to confirm what she just said. "No worries. He would need at least one object from the person he wants to control." I thought back to see if anyone had been missing anything. A picture flashed into my mind and I grabbed Levy by her wrist. She took a while but eventually she caught up with me. She gave me a questioning look.

"He got Juvia's butterfly clip and Gray's necklace." She looked shocked but was quickly covered with disgust.

"Why would he want to control them?"

"That's what I want to find out."

We reached phantom guild, the place was still in a wreck.  All the guards were at rest and we could easily slip in. We search around the place for any clues that could help us. We were in the library when we heard the sound of heavy footsteps.

"Well well, look who came for a late night visit."

"Gato." I sneered,  I could sense Levy tensing up behind me. "What are you doing here?"

"I believe I should be asking you that."

"What do you want with Juvia and Gray?"

"I see you found out my little secret."

"Tell us you plan." Levy's firm voice startled me.

"Plan? It's an interesting story actually. Shall I start from the beginning? "

At the cave

The Sun has risen and everyone was awake.

"Has anyone seen Gajeel?" Erza asked over doing a head count.

"That's weird." Lucy commented, looking around.

"Maybe he went for a walk." Wendy suggested but her face gave her away. She was worried and scared.

Gajeel and Levy came up towards them, looking beaten up and dirty.

"Where have you been?" Gray asked holding onto Juvia.

"And why is Levy here?" Juvia added. Gajeel and Levy went on to explain the whole adventure they  just had. So, Gato was planing to take control of Juvia so that she would return but since he had Gray in prison he thought of it as a bonus. Gajeel reached into his pocket before passing Juvia and Gray back her butterfly clip and his cross necklace.

"Juvia didn't realized it was gone." She said as she pinned it back on her hat.

"Same here." Gray slop the metal chain over his head, looked up and smiled at Juvia.

"With all the make out session, I would surprised if you did." Gajeel whispered to himself, Levy heard and giggled a little.

"Now everyone is here, let's go!" commented the red head amour girl.

"Aye sir!" everyone shouted in reply.

At the Guild

They were greeted with a warm welcome as they stepped through the double doors. Levy was riding on Gajeel's back, Natsu and Lucy holding each other hands, and Gray have decided it was best for him to carry Juvia home. They settle into a table, the couples with their partners.

"So, when did you two happen?" Gray asked pointing to where Natsu and Lucy had held theirs hands. Natsu and Lucy looked at each other and blushed.

"Last night." Lucy finally admitted.

"What about you two?" Natsu asked Gray in return. They other blushed, looking at each other.

"Since our last mission." Juvia smiled and looked down at her lap.

"That was a while ago." Lucy was obviously shocked by this. Gray gave Juvia's hand a little squeeze.

"It was a long story." he added.

"It's fine, tell us about it." Natsu was clearly very interested. So they did, from the day they went to the mission up till now. They laughed, nodded and commented all in the right places. The guild was noisy and lively like how it should always be.

A/N hey minna I hope you enjoy the small nalu and Gale parts. So this story is about to end in a about one or two chapters but ihope you have enjoyed it. ^^
