In the story Wolf Moon you will find the collaborative work of the two authors DearNovalee and BellOfSilence under the pseudonym "SecondStar_Books". We are looking forward to presenting our joint creations! ;)

Wolf Moon is a story set in a fictional version of our world, inspired by the Middle Ages, and featuring creatures from myths, legends, and scary stories, as well as dark sorcery and powerful magic. 

In this version of our world, society is still dominated by kings and influential nobles, as well as the influence of faith through the representation of the saints of the church. The great faith in the one true God is juxtaposed with deep superstitions, fear, and paranoia. It is a dark time in which the remote villages still face ancient terrors and waver between their faith and the necessary sacrifice.

In this dark time, there are three stars of hope for the people: The Inquisition of the Church, but it is as respected as it is feared, for the envoys quickly find a witch in their daughter. The free mercenaries/rental blades, who accept almost any order for jingling coins, can also be charlatans and cutthroats. And last but not least, the most neutral and influential, most famous but also most expensive order: The Red Hunters. That order serves neither the crown nor the church and is influential enough to defy high authorities in its judgment. They are truth finders and warriors about whom legends have been written. They find and destroy the seeds of darkness, whether in the magnificent halls of castles or the most distant places. But is it really as simple as it seems?

Might there be more behind the beasts that strike fear into villages and towns?
