Backstory: Lucas H. Logan was never a very normal person growing up, having been born with autism as the son of two biologists who traveled the world to study rare animals. In one of those travels, Lucas was bitten by a rare green monkey, causing Lucas to contract a discease known as Sarcutia and to save his life his parents injected him with an experimental serum made from the DNA of this said monkey. At that time, inside Lucas's mind he met a monkey god who introduced himself as head of the Parlament of Limbs, who oversees over The Red, the morphogenetic field that rules over animal and microscopic life. The monkey god told Lucas that the boy's DNA held a hidden power, since he was a mutant who's X Gene gave him a connection to The Red, and this gene was being awakened by the serum used to save his life mixed with the Sarcutia. When Lucas woke up, his skin, eyes and hair had turned red, his canine teeth had grown sharper, he had developed an impressive healing factor, could project retractable claws from his hands and most impressively, had gained the ability to transform into any kind of animal. But this joy about his new powers didn't last long, since the house him and his parents were living was invaded by an unknown organization, Lucas's parents got killed and he got kidnapped and experimented by the organization's Weapon XV program, which mixed his skeleton with a combination of Vibranium, Adamantium and Nth Metal, eventually he was able to escape by transforming into a berserker were-beast, destroying the entire facility, while running in this form through  'Generic African Country™' he ended in a village protected by Rachel Munroe, another mutant known as Storm Raven by the locals, they fought due to Lucas's berserker state and the exhaustion was enough to cause Lucas to come back to his senses.
