Monthly Reading cycle

Our book club runs on a monthly cycle, with each cycle consisting of ten members. Here's how it works:

Book Selection: Each member will have a list of 9 books to read, plus the Book of the Month, making a total of 10 books for each cycle.

Chapter Reading: For each book, you'll read the first 5 chapters, excluding author's notes, aesthetics, playlists, or anything that doesn't directly contribute to the plot.

Commenting: As you read, you should leave 9-10 constructive comments on each chapter. These comments should be thoughtful and meaningful—single-word reactions like "wow," "awesome," or "great" aren't accepted. Think about what you liked, what surprised you, or any questions that came to mind.

Tagging: At the end of your comments on each chapter, don't forget to tag us using @theelpidacommunity. This helps us keep track of everyone's participation and engagement.

Cycle Participation

To keep things fresh and give everyone a chance to participate, we have a special rule about cycle participation. Password 1 is the first letter of your username. If you join the first cycle, you won't be able to join the second cycle, but you can sign up again for the third cycle. This means you can participate in alternate cycles, ensuring that everyone gets a fair chance to join in the fun.

How the Book of the Month (BOTM) Is Chosen

At the end of each cycle, after readers have completed the 9 assigned books, they will vote for one book out of the nine. Note the following rules:

Voting Restrictions: Readers cannot vote for their own books, and they cannot have their followers or friends vote on their behalf. This ensures a fair and unbiased selection process.

Selection Process: The book with the most votes will be chosen as the Book of the Month (BOTM) for the next cycle. This book will be read and discussed by all members in the following cycle.

NOTE: There will be no Book of the Month for the first cycle. The BOTM process will begin from the second cycle onward.
