The Moon's Shimmer

The yellow glow was enough to make night known
Summer rain was found as relaxing as the wind
The bright yellowish dot was a reminder of the woe
Tiny white specks dance around the star of dark

Why was it lonely?
Surely there are others to company the star,
No?
Our sorrow must be the same then

We both must be trying to find who plucked our petals
Now we are just stems with an ugly spot
All alone, around glowing Suns
Merely just there for others enjoyment

You must like seeing others happy? Me too
We ourselves wonder if any want to see us happy
Miami is fast asleep, the stars are having a silent dance
You must have your own version of Miami like mine?

You should forever be Miami's rays, but the true is rising
We both should have our say in the world
Though they shun us to the bright of their days
Till we meet again, my moon
