Hey guys this is Darkstalker.
So if you have been following me for a while you would know that I create a lot of artwork. I make a lot of dragons and a lot of Wings Of Fire related drawings as well.
But what none of you know is that I am actually self taught. And I know what your thinking:
Omg you are self taught? But how?
Well I have been drawing for a really, really, really, really long time. Almost my entire life.
And I just want to let you guys know what being an artist means to me.
Being an artist doesn't mean you have been drawing or painting for a long time and you are really good at it. Being an artist means that you put a lot of effort into every single piece of artwork you make and you are satisfied with it at the end no matter how many bumps you may have came by.
Being an artist means that you are patient and you find value in everything you do. Especially in projects that may have taken a while to complete.
Being an artist means that you appreciate all type of art and artists for what it is.
In any other words being an artist means that you are different, you are special, and even if some people who aren't artist don't get you, you never give up. You don't let hate on your work control you.
Everyone has a different style, and if you were gifted with the style of art, you know what it is like to be me. You probably know what it feels like to be different. But art and the ability to draw is a gift. And a gift is not something you give and it isn't something you get, but it is something you earn through kindness, patience, and hard work.
