By the way...
Have you guys notice, that there is different eras in figure skating?

Like in the late 20th century, it was the Brian Boitano, Brian Orser Era.

Then it advanced into the Kurt Browning and Elvis Stojko Era.

Then at the turn of the century, it became the Evgeni Plushenko and Alexei Yagudin Era.

Then later, it was the Brian Joubert, Stephanie Lambiel and Jeffrey Buttle age.

Then it transformed into the Patrick Chan, Daisuke Takahashi Era.

And Now it's the Yuzuru Hanyu, Javier Fernandez Era.

....

Same goes for the ladies...

Late 20th century, it was the Midori Ito and Kristi Yamaguchi age.

At the turn of the century, it became the Michelle Kwan, Tara Lapinski, and Irina Slutskaya Era.

Just for a little while, it was the Shizuka Arakawa and Sasha Cohen Era.

Then for the next long while, it was the Mao Asada, Miki Ando, Yuna Kim and Carolina Kostner Era. One of the best figure skating eras in my opinion.

And now, I guess it's kinda the Russian Era??

...

By the way, the first skater I have ever seen was quite a while ago. And I didn't even remember her name.
All I remembered was that she was Japanese, she skated to You Raise Me Up when I saw her, and that she wore a dark blue dress. Oh and she won the 2006 Olympics in Torino.

Years later, I search in Google for the Japanese girl in the blue dress who skated to You Raise Me Up and won the Olympics.

And I found out she was Shizuka Arakawa :)
