Ashfur x Squirrelflight

When Brambleclaw was being a huge jerk to Squirrelflight, she went to Ashfur for comfort. It was very cute in my opinion! But I don't see them as mates. I think they would be great friends! Ashfur cant handle it when Squirrelflight chooses Brambleclaw, and plots with Hawkfrost to kill Firestar, then when he fails he gets more angry and tries to burn alive her kits, then possess Bramblestar to be with her again, then is sad once she 'dies'.
I hate this ship, I believe if Ashfur truly loved Squirrelflight, he would've been happy she got with someone she was happy with.
And he seems to expect her to forgive him in StarClan when she sees him in Squirrelflight's Hope, and she is clearly uncomfortable.
And with how the newest book, he literally kidnapped her and that is not okay.
