Small authors note. I apologize for lack of updates. I've had lack of interest in writing honestly. Not only that but I moved recently and completely forgot about this story. Also thank you for so many reads!! I have over 1k it means so much!! I love you all!! Here's your chapter that you would most likely want to read now.

There was no answer at first. You waited for someone to answer the door. But no one did. You knocked again as worries crashed over you like a wave on a beach. You then realized that no one was home. Feeling your heart break. You put your head down, still standing in the doorway.

"sup kiddo?" said a deep voice from behind you.

Startled, you turned around to see the smaller skeleton brother. Sipping a milkshake.
"you lost?"

You shook your head as you looked at the ground. You gathered courage and said, "W-W-Would you happen to k-know where Papyrus is? H-He said he would take me to dr. Alphys's lab."

"yep. he's at the edge of town talking to undyne."

"Thank you."
 
"no prob."

You left the house and began making your way to Waterfall. Walking through snow was not the best thing for you. The freezing weather was not good for the outfit you were wearing. But still, you marched on. Through the snow and pine trees. Fleeing from monsters. Avoiding any unnecessary socialization. And definitely avoiding that weird long neck dog.
Finally you made it to the edge of Snowdin. You could see Papyrus talking to Undyne, flailing their arms around like lunatics. Frisk was there too. Doodling in the snow. You approached them. Well more like, stood a few yards away from them.
Frisk noticed you and tugged on Papyrus's shirt, then pointed to you.
Papyrus soon notices you and cleared his "throat"

"HELLO (Y/N)!! ARE YOU READ-"
Frisk tugged at Papyrus's shirt again. And told him to be quiet.
"SORRY TINY HUMAN!! THIS IS THE ONLY VOLUME I HAVE! BEING QUIET IS SOMETHING I PHYSICALLY CANNOT DO!!(ALSO IT'S FUN TO TYPE IN ALL CAPS) AS I, THE GRRRREAT PAPYRUS, WAS SAYING, ARE YOU READY TO GO TO DR. ALPHYS'S LAB NOW!?"

You nodded quietly.

"EXCELLENT!! FOLLOW ME!"

You followed him all the way to Hotland. As did Frisk and Undyne. The entire time they talked and talked while you walked quietly and patiently nodding your head up and down as they asked if you were listening, when you honestly weren't. It took forever but you eventually wound up at Hotland. The excruciating heat was devastating in this dress/suit. You worried for Undyne as it seemed she was about to pass out. As you arrived at the door, Papyrus and Frisk said their goodbyes and Undyne walked you through the door.

Knowing that you had someone with you filled you with determination.
